The school girl scene was in reference to people bullying her even though she is just a young girl. The drones are people on the internet who make those gross comments on her after she goes anywhere or does anything. I think the bathroom scene was touching on the bases of "standard" beauty. Where in Korea and many places cutting your hair short or cutting it on a whim comes with the stigma that you're not feminine or considered pretty without long hair or with it styled the way you want it. She happens to prefer her hair shorter but people clown her because she refuses to grow it out just because they tell her to. Their Imagery is always so dope!

WANNABE storyline Ryujin: “I don’t care what they say about me. I do my own stuff and I’ll take care of what I’ll be regardless of what people say.” What symbolizes this is Ryujin cutting her own hair, signifying that she’ll take care of whatever she’d become. Lia: “All the hate I get for being “too skinny” won’t stop me from being who I am. Mind your own business.” We see Lia kicking food off the table throughout the video. She’s proud and free. She knows her strengths and weaknesses, and nothing can bring her down. Yeji: “I won’t bend to your will. I am my own person, and nothing can get in my way. I do what I want, and nothing can stop me from that.” Yeji is known to be the “secret weapon” of ITZY, and is expected to be perfect at all times; but we see in the club shot, she wasn’t dancing at the beginning. This signifies that for example, she doesn’t want to dance because of health problems, she won’t dance. She won’t bend to another person’s will because she is her own person. Later, she dances more and more. There, we see it is her decision. Chaeryoung: “I won’t let you get in my way. Don’t interfere, because I got this. I’m different from what you think, because I am myself.” We see Chaeryoung surrounded by uniforms and she, was wearing the only different uniform out of all the ones in the shot. This means, that she will be herself, and formality won’t stop her. Yuna: “I’d rather be who I am and get criticism for it, than be someone else and be praised for it.” We see Yuna uncomfortable in heels. Since she is the visual of the group, she’s expected to be pretty at all times. Later on, she takes off her heels and becomes a free, independent woman away from the grip of society’s expectations of her. This shows that she isn’t afraid to be herself, no matter how many people are watching her as seen when she was modeling barefoot. This MV was to deliver a message to the fans. “Be yourself and raise your head. Don’t be afraid to show the world what you’re made of.”
@gisellecio4 жыл бұрын
Chaeryeong’s was about how she gets called ugly because she doesn’t fit Korea beauty standards. And the drones are all the haters that follow her telling her she’s not pretty and then she’s running and hiding from it. At the end she finally has the confidence and turns around saying like “I’m pretty and you can’t tell me otherwise” and blocking out the haters which is why the drones fall.

@@JordanOrme she's in a school uniform factory, so all the racks are of uniforms representing the pressure to fit into a certain mold. her own uniform is different than the ones hanging in the factory! that would also explain why she's at a desk taking an exam. the drones, as others have said, could represent haters or media always following her and making comments because she's doing things her way. Kind late but the MV was actually from their own exp. Lia- Fancy Table She was always criticize as not good enough to be itzy member and from that she started losing weight and people always criticize her for that thats why she was walking over the table meaning other peoples opinions of her and throwing it. Chaeryoung- Drones When Itzy debuted, Chae was so bashed for being not visually stunning as her other groupmates and criticize so hard that her mother had to gave a statement pleading people not to bash the way she look. Thats why she was being followed by drones meaning people following and judging the way she looks. Thats why when she realized that she should just be herself and faced those drones heads up the drones broke. Same way she now says that she love herself and the way she looks. Yuna- Model Yuna was labeled as the visual in Itzy. Then again haters said that shes replaceable and adds nothing to the group. People think that shes only there for her visual and not talent. Thats why she was timid and unsure in the mv. But yeah she realized that theres nothing wrong with it and decided to flaunt it just like walking in a runway barefooted. Ryujin- Cutting hair Ryujin doesnt always conform to what people tell her as beautiful. At first, she was bashed as being the favorite and center of the group. Knets had this expectation of her as this flawless trainee coming #1 at a survival show in the female category. But she decided that she wont let other people dictate the way she feels about herself hence cutting hair. Yeji- Party Yeji was called the hidden Ace of JYPE pre debut. She was also assigned the leader where people expect more of her and for her to be perfect. She was constantly wary of what other will say as people had expectation of their group so much as they had a big debut. Then she decided to let loose and just go with the flow. Party and enjoy whats going on. Midzy Fighting! Itzy Fighting!

You don't only talk and teach about the editing but you also explain the reason behind it. You made me view the video, the lyrics and it's total meaning with different eyes, it's even more full of emotion and expressiveness. Your "guesses" where really accurate, you made me understand that editing comes with the story and that it is really important and not everyone can do that so thanks.
