I've seen this series a dozen times, and this last viewing, it finally dawned on me that Law had the same N64 controller over his shoulder as he was leaving the room with New Law, so that he could murder him like the guy in the video game store, and swap their teeth so the police misidentify both their bodies like he said he would. That is hilariously dark comedy.

It’s sad to see your favorite people go off in separate ways. This show had a bunch of great writers and actors. It’s a shame when i looked up the whereabouts of the actors and creators that they extremely change. Hearing about DK’s actor having passed away from a heart attack was super sad. Hearing about the fact that the actor fro Brian and Jenny had divorced under personal circumstances. And everyone else is slowly leaving the scene of the internet and creative world. But I still adore what they created. Rocket Jump and what I love a lot now ever since then was Corridor Crew they were like a sister company to RJ and they’re going strong now and even Freddie Wing was on there for a couple of videos and seeing the same community grow strong with the same nostalgia and even newer people kinda like me(ofc i knew VGHS long before Corridor) i was happy. I wish there was more likable shows like this that had goofy and dumb humor with really intricate backgrounds in shows these days. The weirdest thing is that TV and Movies are getting more darker leaving the comedy and more creative scene in the past. I also always wanted to see myself playing role in creative stuff like this. It sucks that i’m turning 18 and entering the world as an adult. It’s scary guys but anyway. I hope anyone seeing this later in the future knows that it’s great to have these anchors of the past that remind us how great it was but we should make a great future.

I’ll just use their VGHS names. Brian is into photography and had a divorce with Jenny in 2014 :( but he’s married again and has a kid now and has done various shorts. Jenny also remarried I believe. I wouldn't mind it if it doesn't have the old cast (I'd prefer but very likely impossible), I just like the universe around it. I think they would get quite alot of crowdfund money if they would make another season if they market it right (I didn't crowdfund anything the first 3 but i sure as hell would for another season). It's also still in terms of popularity by far the best show they have made so far.

I first watched season 1 on JSchlatt's twitch stream, and binge watched it the rest of the night. I do wish the series couldve been longer or even had a reunion of some sort (tho after reading other comments it seems its not possible), but for what we got, this is beautiful. I think the ending was poetic, in a way, because it shows Calhoun's speech about how Brian would never be the most important thing in Jenny's life was true all along, and Brian just had to buckle up and enjoy the ride while it lasted. I like when there's a nice dose of reality in a series. Really makes you connect with it. Thanks for takin me along for the ride, RocketJump

VGHS came out when I was 12. I remember watching these in the summer, over, and over, and over again. It still remains one of my favorite things, pretty much ever. I remember playing Halo Reach and recreating VGHS in Forge with my buddies and roleplaying as actual students, then going into a multiplayer match as those students and having a blast. We would even play CoD and recreate the seal as our emblems. This show remains a staple of my youth, growing up with all the characters each season and re-watching it made me hopeful and a little nostalgic. VGHS and Rocket Jump are the reasons why I want to write and become a director. The cast, the crew, everyone who helped VGHS become what it is today, helped me really. Thank everyone, so much, for teaching me to let my creative side flow and not to be afraid of it. I love each and every one of you.

Yeah that kinda doesnt make sense tbh I understand why they did it from a writing perspective bc Brian being mature enough to let Jenny go even if it means they wont be together anymore is a really great way to cap off both of their character arcs (plus even in the series finale i think the idea of the main three not staying at VGHS together is a little too sad of a note to end on) but in universe he totally shouldve gotten some attention from pro teams. I think it can be safely assumed he eventually goes to the pros tho

Debatable that Brian outplayed Jenny at all, but apart from that, you also have to remember that the team that headhunted Jenny specifically needed a sniper. Brian's not a sniper. It could well be there just weren't any teams that needed someone with his skillset at the time. Apart from that, Brian's game history shows he's dangerously inconsistent. He's innovative and creative and capable of amazing clutch plays, yes, but he's also capable of faceplanting magnificently. That might scare a lot of teams off.

@@Arbyfig I would honestly say Brian can't really even play better. He spikes higher (at his absolute best, he trumps everyone), but he also dips way lower. It's that dangerous inconsistency of his. That said, the total package Jenny brings to the table makes her an obvious pro team pick over Brian and Law/New Law alike. Looking at all of their relevant attributes, I'd have them as something like this: *SKILL* 1. Law/New Law: FPS magicians, and the favorites to win if it's a 1v1 deathmatch 2. Jenny: deadly at any range and very consistent 3. Brian: last overall, despite the fact he spikes very high at his best; his inconsistency hurts him (But I'd also say that the gaps between them in skill are pretty small. On any given Sunday, any of these is capable of retiring one of the others.) *TEAMWORK* 1. Jenny: can play her role and is _also_ a great leader 2. Brian: can play his role 3. Law/New Law: very unreliable; will prioritize their egos and whims over everything else, even to the point of jeopardizing the match *DEDICATION* 1. Jenny: lives, eats and breathes pro FPS; she'll put in the work needed to take herself to the next level 2. Brian: while not as focused as Jenny, he's been known to put in the work even when he thought he wasn't going to get to play 3. Law/New Law: they rely too much on their raw talent-they'll put in work if they feel like it and won't if they don't Oddly enough, Law/New Law are actually the worst of the three for an FPS team. They may have the most raw talent, translating to their high skill, but that's really _all_ they bring to the table. At the pro team level, that just won't cut it. What it comes down to is two things: One, I way, _way_ overthink this stuff. And two, Jenny's got not only the talent but also the focus and the ability to function within and enhance a team that, when it comes to recruiting _for_ a team, puts her head and shoulders above the rest.

god seeing the "its all about the game" in the beginning is heartbreaking, these last 3 episodes have really gotten me misty eyed now that im older and feel/ have felt a lot of what the characters went through and faced. this isn't just some funny old KZbin show, its art its beautiful and its everything i could ever want in a peace of media. i doubt you will see this rocket jump, but thank you for making something so special and personal. this show changed my life and im happy that you made this with the care and respect of the characters that you constructed.

It’s crazy to think about. I was 12 when the first episode was released, probably 11 when made. Just like any other video game loving, modern warfare sucking kid, this show gave me so much joy to watch. The effect it had on so many can almost never be forgotten.Even now as an 18 year old I look back at this show and still get the giddy feeling of putting on that vghs jersey of mine. But, the sad truth, it is over. The actors have all gone to different parts of the country maybe even the world, some even passed, the curtains have been closed for several years yet people still show up for the replay. It was a beautiful and touching work of art throughout all years. Thank you rocketjump, the actors, but especially Matt and Freddie.

this needs a sequal series. brian's story clearly isn't over. jenny got to move on to bigger and better things. she's a panther now, she achieved her dream. she got a real conclusion. brian stayed exactly where he's always been. he's still playing games with teddy and ki. he's still a student/janitor at vghs. he didn't get a real conclusion. yeah, you could definitely say that's where he's supposed to be. and i'd agree with you, for right now. but his story isn't complete and it's one that deserves a proper ending. please just make a sequal series already!

I just got into this series just a few days ago. I liked FreddieW's stuff for many years and I have been listening to the "Dungeons and Daddies" podcast religiously since 2019. That being said, I knew of VGHS, but I never really wanted to watch it. Oh boy, have I been missing out. I can't remember a time when I watched something that made me feel this happy. The first time I finished this series, I WEPT that Brian and Jenny weren't together at the end. But in watching through it a second time, I understand now what the creators were going for and it has a sort of sweet acceptance to it. Just watched this whole series again and i realized something. Throughout the show, there are a few times when the other clubs complain about the FPS team getting all the attention and funding, but Field of Fire ends up being a game where every game skill can be utilized (fighting, driving, platforming, etc.). My review of VGHS Season 1: Good, fun! Ironically cliche and charmingly childish, it had be hooked immediately. Season 2: Fun! Very funny at times. But... strange. Especially Law... Sometimes frustrating with unreasonable lack of communication between characters. Season 3: Tutorial on how to be sad. Bad decisions, bad influences, and terrible misfortunes. This is not the same show - we dive into the real deal feels. However, this show portrayed and worked through these issues in a more relatable way than anything else I've ever seen... Final episode: Five stars; satisfying, fun and happy. Brian and Jenny's final interactions were very realistic and refreshingly mature. OG squad back together again felt so right. Overall: Good. Unpolished at times, but so, so good. The best that KZbin has to offer - and free as can be.
