Holy shit how could you call the Captain boss forgettable? He’s definitely one of the most creative and interesting bosses in the game because of how it starts simple but slowly gets more complex over time as new attacks and sea creatures get introduced. I wish more games had bosses like this as the multitasking aspect is really fun

Idk if I’m the only one but the smoke bomb actually made me worse, I couldn’t figure out where I would go after I dash so I would always miss platforms. I was also very good at dodging things even without the smoke bomb so my go to charm was the 2 extra hearts. (With roundabout cuz it’s the best)

Fun fact: I actually have this on my switch and I find it pretty fun ngl but something i find weird is that the game (for me atleast) is easier alone. When i gets played this game with my brother it was actually really hard and I actually never beat the game with him. But alone i was able to beat the game in half a month. And i had this game since 2020.

Me and my brother struggled with king dice for hours, only to beat the devil on the third attempt. I find it interesting how different our experiences with the devil is. For me it really did put the game down to have a boss beaten that fast compared to the one before it.

I feel like if you had that much training on king dice, then nothing after it could really stop you. Sort of like training for hours in pokemon to beat a gym. It probably took us both the same amount of time combined, just spent on different bosses. It is interesting indeed.

P sugar is good it basically parry’s your first pink in the the air, it resets when you land, so it is only not a free parry when you have to parry multiple times in a row in the air.

I think Studio MDHR always intended to have platforming levels in the game, even as far back as 2013, where Cuphead was described as a platformer/run'n'gun type of game.

Out of all the games I played in 2017 cub head is actually one of the only games that made me wanna break my controller in the most random times during bosses mostly because of my own fault on making a wrong move but after watching several KZbin videos about it I gave it a another chance and managed to beat it at least once
