The Novice Lecturer Research Video entitled "The Transitivity System of Ideational Metafunction in Sanduk-Sanduk Papalaku of Adat Karuhun Urang Sunda Wiwitan Community" was carried out in July-December 2023, funded by The Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology 2023

Ritual text recitation reflects the richness of Indonesian traditions, which are passed down from one generation to the next, particularly among indigenous people. It embodies significant values that reflect their worldview, preserving the local language and strengthening national identities. Many individuals, especially those in younger generations, view old rituals as having little relevance due to the influence of modern lifestyles. Therefore, it is expected that the study of ritual texts will present positive viewpoints and raise awareness of the need to preserve local traditions. Sanduk Sanduk Papalaku texts are types of ritual texts still practiced by the Adat Karuhun Urang Sunda Wiwitan community. Sanduk-Sanduk Papalaku texts are recited before conducting communal events or individual daily activities as a symbol of asking permission from those around and praying for God's blessing. This research aims to identify the transitivity system of ideational meanings in sanduk-sanduk papalaku texts. The data were collected in the field through observation and interviews with community elders. Sanduk-sanduk papalaku texts chosen as data are the activities related to rice cultivation and daily life. The data were analyzed using the transitivity system of Systemic Functional Linguistics. The result illustrates demonstrates how sanduk-sanduk papalaku serves to illustrate the experiences of the AKUR Sunda Wiwitan community, emphasizing their continual connection to both God and nature. The research output in the form of articles published in nationally accredited journals. The first article entitled "Sanduk-Sanduk Papalaku in the Daily Life of AKUR Community" was finally published in Jurnal Bina Bahasa Vol 16 No 2, December 2023, while the second article entitled "Sanduk-Sanduk Papalaku of Rice Rituals in AKUR Sunda Wiwitan Community: A Transitivity System Analysis" is still in review on Jurnal Lensa: Kajian Kebahasaan, Kesusastraan dan Budaya.
