A fight like that causes a code blue in the entire institution. What's a code blue, you ask? A code blue is an all call over the PA system by central control to every officer available in the building to attend a specific area because there is a very serious and possibly deadly situation happening that needs immediate diffusion. This officer must have been in charge of the area, which made her close in proximics, or she was able to get there quickly enough from wherever her post was and she happened to be the first to arrive. I'm almost positive this woman, outside of work like you and I, is a regular human being who has a life to live and family to come home to at the end of the work day. Alive. Safe. This is a regular work day for her. Every day in that work environment there's a constant threat to her wellbeing or life and on any given day shit can go sideways. Since this is so, she is following institutional policy and waiting at the scene to keep it contained in the room while back up officers are en route from wherever they were posted and that could be anywhere in the jail. Doing this keeps her safe. Doing this keeps her back up officers safe as they all arrive so everyone can assess the situation together and take the required action to obtain control of the situation. Other officers must have arrived on scene a minute or so after the all call by central. At that point, once there are enough bodies to engage, all officers will go in as a group to help so no one, y'know, dies. Do your research before you post misinformed comments :)

Carlos Larmond was apparently incarcerated for planning terrorist attacks in Canada (convert to Islam). "On March 3, 2015, Carlos Larmond was beaten by fellow prisoner Terrence Wilson, 24, when Larmond attempted to convert Wilson then threatened him when Wilson resisted. In the scuffle, Larmond suffered a broken left hand & a black eye" Beating him was the nicest thing they could do to him, in other parts of the world he would have been killed
