Video Podcast Editing Made Simple: Full Tutorial for Beginners

Just upgraded to Pro. These features are INSANE. I've been podcasting since 2015. I always loved editing in Audacity but I spent so much time cleaning up audio etc. Riverside is on a different level. When I first started with video I had a competition product and it was not intuitive. A buddy suggested Riverside to me and I've been a customer over a year. Top notch stuff!

Wow 2:16 the mark clip! I really like the chapter markers too 11:26 Plus the AI features that's crazy! The black friday deal makes it just a little bit cheaper than Restream but they don't have the AI features. The only thing I don't like so far on Riverside is the extra money if you want to have a more branded look. I don't know what the live studio add on is but I'm assuming that's what I'm looking for, but I'm thinking I could let that slide by still getting the AI features in the Pro plan. I've been using Restream for a year now and Riverside is looking enticing to me to be my new yearly subscription.

This is just amazing! Question: Do I absolutely have to use headphones?

Thanks Barbara! If you're recording solo, no, you don't have to use headphones. If you're recording with remote guests, just be sure to turn on echo cancellation, but if you hear some "noise bleed" meaning your guest in your audio channel, it's due to their voice coming out of your speakers.

Very helpful video! When I record my podcast with a guest I have been experiencing clipping of the audio when we speak at the same time. Do you have advice to resolve that? Or will we need to be mindful to speak one at a time? Any advice on what level our mics need to be set at to avoid clipping?

Clipping shouldn’t be affected if you’re both talking at the same time, but you may want to lower the volume a bit on both mics to see if that helps

When you create a Riverside account for free there's a sample project for you to work with in the studio!

WAY too fast for a beginner. Might be speaking only for me, but it creates frustration and an urge to cancel out and find a different program. My suggestion would be to do a seriously dumbed-down training (maybe this video IS dumbed down, which means I'm extra dumb, LOL) literally pointing out "this button does this, that button does that..." and so on. Anyway, I'm on the free trial, but if I can't figure this out within the next three days, I'll be on the lookout for a different platform. Not intending to offend, by the way - just frustrated.
