Question 🙋 How many people can you invite? Also, will it block incoming calls while in use to stop interruptions?
@Riversidefm6 ай бұрын
8 people total can record in a Riverside studio, and the Riverside app doesn't automatically block calls, so we suggest turning on Do Not Disturb mode to prevent that from happening!

What I need is the ability to record the iPad screen with voice over audio and an overlay for riverside. Streamlabs is not it…but neither is Riverside yet. I don’t show my face all the time, but do share video and audio.
@Riversidefm8 ай бұрын
For that, a desktop setup will serve you better and using a video switcher. You can connect the iPad to a video switcher like ATEM Mini Pro via HDMI, plus have your cameras connected, and Riverside will recognize the video switcher as a video input!
@corimyers49858 ай бұрын
I'm aware but was suggesting a Riverside feature where I could go live, stream my gameplay, and just my voice if I wanted and need not do any other set up. There are other apps that do this and set ups of course. Just prefer if it was@@Riversidefm

Thanks for the info!! What about incorporating multiple old iPhones for multi cam? Can I just connect the phones to wifi and use the invite link feature?

Your'e welcome! You can do that, just be sure to mute the secondary devices otherwise you'll hear feedback. You can also use our Secondary Camera feature. I explain here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5m1k4ydlM6LpM0si=ygu9zJqQjOF13RCJ

Hello. Thank you. Can I use the Riverside app on my ipad and then choose my iphone as camera and my mic/headphone as áudio, directly in the ipad (which would be used as the digital studio and usable during the videocast)?
@Riversidefm3 ай бұрын
Hey Daniel, unfortunately you can't do that right now. The iPad can only use the built-in camera.

You can use something like a Rode Wireless GO receiver to combine two mics, or an audio interface with the iPhone.

Question!! Is it possible to connect two microphones to an iphone? My friend and I want to start a podcast and we have two microphones with USB-C ports. If we bought an adapter that can connect the two microphones to the iphone, would that work? Thank you!!! Love your videos.
@Riversidefm8 ай бұрын
Thanks! And you can use some interfaces with an iPhone, like the Focusrite Vocaster Two, and connect two XLR microphones to the iPhone. If you record with Riverside, it will combine those two mics into one channel, just be aware. I show how to do that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGHLfKFvpq2DY6csi=Qs1XwKDsympd9tI8

If I’m correct, couldn’t I just use airplay to mirror my screen while recording? Because I don’t have an iPad. All I have is my iPhone, 15 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro and a galaxy S-10 plus in addition to my MacBook Pro and airplay capable TV that I plan to use as a monitor.
@Riversidefm8 ай бұрын
You could certainly do that, but AirPlay screen mirroring does take significant resources on the device an may hinder the live call performance. If you have a MacBook Pro, I would suggest using that to record and having your iPhone act as a webcam using Continuity Camera. @@Riversidefm Thanks! I guess I found what i was looking for, and I expect the iPhone 15 to have USB type-C gen 2. Here’s some pointers; USB 3.2 Gen 1: originally known as USB 3.0, and previously renamed to USB 3.1 Gen 1. It’s the original USB 3.0 specification, and it can transfer data at up to 5Gbps. USB 3.2 Gen 2: Previously known as USB 3.1, and then later as USB 3.1 Gen 2. It offers speeds at up to 10Gbps. USB 3.2 Gen 2x2: formally known as USB 3.2, it’s the newest and fastest spec, promising speeds at up to 20Gbps (by using two lanes of 10Gbps at once). Keep up the good work! Great vids

Hi! Just a few questions- 1. You can record AND edit audio and video podcasts with Riverside,is that right? (So that would say, eliminate the use of a software like Descript?) 2. From what I can gather from watching some of your videos, you can record video podcasts in Riverside with an iPad or iPhone BUT you still need to edit on a desktop or laptop is that correct ? If true, When will Riverside have the ability to Edit episodes on an iPhone or iPad app? 3. I have an iPhone 13. I can follow these steps but is it possible to just use a lightening cable to connect my usb mic to my phone? Thanks these videos are super helpful 👍🏻
@Riversidefm8 ай бұрын
Glad they're helpful! 1. Yes you can record AND edit with Riverside, and we have a transciption-based editing (deleting words or sentences to edit the content) too. 2. You are correct that editing needs to be done in the browser of a laptop or desktop computer. Working on it! 3. You'll still need the Lightning to USB camera adapter and then connect to a USB mic with an iPhone 13. A straight Lightning to USB cable won't let the phone recognize the mic.

Since I've bought the iPhone 15 Pro a couple of weeks ago and I also wanted to start this year with Content Creating, I thought of using my iPhone as a starter Set mainly because of the camera quality but also I want it to have a bigger purpose than just taking consuming content and taking photos/making videos. Is it possible to use the same iPhone 15 setup for my iPhone 14 but with the USB-C interface connected to a "USB C to Lightning" adapter then to my iPhone.
@Riversidefm2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately since iOS 17, the Lightning to USB Camera adapter has not been working consistently. We would recommend the Lightning to headphone TRRS adapter and then splitting that into a mic and headphone jack.

I connected my 12 pro to the camera usb/usb c splitter. Riverside app doesn’t show the dialog and I am not sure if I am recording from my external mic or the inbuilt iPhone mic
@RiversidefmАй бұрын
iPhone models with Lightning have not supported external USB mics since iOS 17 unfortunately. This method only works with iPhone 15 and newer now, and for older models we would recommend a TRRS splitter method.

If you download the free app Ferrite with the same setup, do you see the mic appear as the input? If not, it may be that the iPhone doesn't recognize the mic itself.
