Since uploading this video, kdenlive version 24.12.0 now has a GUI (Graphical User Interface) so you can create your own proxy clip profiles without going through the back door! YAY!

Today is 22 December 2023 and I have just discovered by accident that the version I am using today is actually able to generate its own proxy clips AND place them in my project folder!!! Fantastic!! I'll leave this video up in case it can help you generate/build your own. It can also show you how you can create your own external proxy clip profiles
