For me it starts at 9.32 miles. Anything else is incomprehensible to me. I have the mobile to get from A to B. I am not allowed to use public transport, which is bad enough. With the range of these mobiles you also have to make compromises, including air conditioning (cold/hot, resistance on the way). The only advantage that such devices have is that you don't have to wait for anyone, you can drive whenever you want.
