Mattel Jurassic World ( too many dino species to count, good lord... ) SpinMaster How To Train Your Dragon 3 ( They made a random WhisperingDeath figure ) Hasbro Bumblebee ( They made Blitzwing’s tank mode, Megatron, Hotrod which confused some people lmao. ) Hasbro Marvel Legends Black Widow BAF series ( included Crimson Dinamo which spawned a butload of theories. )

I think the mace weapon fits very well with Air Raid since his head mold reminds me of a gladiator. Then with the shield and all he really looks like a gladiator.

Oh sweet. I thought the mace/tailfin would partsform. Being an extending arm helps that idea a lot. Especially since it can flail out. Aviator Head indeed.

in vehicle mode, if you fold up the panels behind the cockpit, there are two holes on the underside of the panels. these fit with most weapon pegs.

why does that paint scheme so familiar? it's either really similar to beetle borg or kamen ryder or somethin that had a really similar paint job.

According to the wiki, Air Raid is supposed to be another seeker like movie Jetfire so it would make sense that he's designed to be so lanky and skeletal. I don't know what it is about this figure but when I saw him at FiveBelow (our local bargain store which recently took on some of the remaining Dark of the Moon figure surplus) I had to pick him up.

He reminds me of ROTF Dirge... The transformation is similar, and you end up with a cool-looking but awkwardly posable robot mode. Dirge also had the white light piping, which is a little odd on a Decepticon if you think about it. Thx for reviewing this guy!

Both modes on this guy look cool. And if you ask me I think they might of finally learned something from G1, and pretty much all non-movie transformers. Most movie formers you have to flip this, and that, and peg something in. And when your done you end up with a little shoulder pad, or hip armor. Over done transformation sequence to help add to the detail. With this guy the parts of him that could be left as simple as possible were, and I love it. Much cleaner more convincing alt mode.

Now I need this AND a Skyhammer! Would be nice to see all the other Arielbots being made and another Breakaway repaint for the Autobot team for Universe Silverbolt. Would love to try to create a Superion with these guys. WOuld be nice if the gun were able to lock in though. That gun was gaining some cool points and then ...blargh. LOL! Nice as a shield though.

No I tried. Unfortunately, Air Raid is not compatible with the Clip System weapons. Though I looked him over and hes got about 5 mechtech ports in vehicle mode, two are under the flaps behind the nose of the plane. two more under the wings. and the fifth is on the roof of the front of the plane.

You know, I am getting really impressed with the jet formers. They really don't have a lot of robot kibble underneath and it looks really clean. Definitely picking this one up when he comes out.

side comment .... a hand as a mace and the radar dish as a shield ... yes you are right .... Gladiatorial bot .... plus the legs how they are spaced kind of is reminiscent of G1 Megatron ....

The head, shield and body design from this fellow is really intriguing. He looks a little like a Greek Hoplite because of the shape of his helmet and his round shield, and the design also reminds me of the IDW Comics' interpretations of pre-Great War Cybertronians.

Since the arms are attached to the body by a swivel joint,couldn't you just switch the arms around to hide the screws and reveal the detailing?

we Have gotten a plain like this before, in PCC, One of the Energon Superion jets, if you get the add on kit, and I think a minicon or two, I swear there was another BIGGER Radar dish plane out before, I just don't remember the name or series.

It reminds me of BeastWars Terrorsaur. like the BW Fractyl from one of the past BOTCONs. Even the tail reminds me of a melee weapon, plus the sheild with the hidden blasters. I could see a red repaint as Deceticon Terrorsaur

For the type of air vehicle that this figure is based on, the figure really should be bigger. It is shame Hasbro didn't at least make this a Voyager-class size figure. My preference would be an to see this in an Ultra class size like Universe Silverbolt.

I think this version Air Raid was rather "rushed". You can clearly judge he could've been much better than this, especially the legs, even if they give that G1 vibe as optibotimus said. The mace arm is not a bad concept as well, but should have been in the same style as Shockwave's (you can have his weapon and still have a hand). And the way his wings fold back? I think more plane/jet formers should get that style (I know a few have it though).

If you give him a different Head and paint him red you get a Nice DOTM Deluxe Powerglide i hope Hasbro repaint this guy into Powerglide. I realy like this figure and i want him were did you get him

@BronyTheCaricon everyone brings up Skyhammer. I've been collecting Transformers regularly for about 16 years & while the shows have been the shows, the toy lines have been expansive well beyond the screen & that goes back to even before G1 (Yes as a kid I had Diaclone figures) On my shelves, the off screen bots are some of my favorites & the lack of them in the DOTM line just plain sucks. So YAY Skyhammer, but if thats it, it's pretty sad....
