I have all of the DotM Leader Class figures. And I have to say that Sentinel is the least fun to transform. Particularly into this vehicle mode. Like you said, it is a cluster flack of panels that demand absolute perfect alignment or else the whole thing doesn't work. Bare in mind that I admire what they tried to do, taking a robot that essentially turns into a brick on wheels and doing everything they could to keep him from being a "shell-former". But By the Matrix I couldn't imagine all of the pissed off parents who had to master that finger breaking rubix cube when they bought this "toy" for their little kid. Figures like this are probably the reason that Hasbro has gone for the whole "so simple the instructions are on the back of the box" approach for their Robots in Disguise line.

Your comment was two years ago so I don't know if you will read this but I feel like they should make simple figures with a few steps for young children and these are for what us collectors want. Yes kids can buy these as well but I think that these we're made for mostly collectors and the angry parents complaints caused the changes in Hasbros figures engineering to simple.

This Sentinel Prime toy is very much like the leader class Optimus Prime from Revenge of the Fallen, in how both of them have difficult robot to vehicle transformations, but simple vehicle to robot ones.

Only in the movie did "Sentinel Prime" mentor Optimus Prime. In the show, there really wasn't any characters named "Sentinel Prime". He was actually a concept from Micheal Bay who wanted to pluck some heart strings with "An old wise father figure to Optimus who would be emotionally hurt at the betrayal" type deal. Now there was eventually named a character Sentinel Major, however this character never had any interaction with Optimus that I know of and obtained the matrix by other means.

move his ankles one click forward. he stands perfect. also transform your wheels on the leg and back cape properly in robot form it helps. I love this toy... its an absolute marvel in toy engineering... the fact that it hides all those panels, has weapons storage and turns into near perfect representations of his vehicle and robot mode is just astonishing.

GENJI Shimada he IS a legendary autobot but the reason why he became a teaitor is because he wanted to bring back cybertron with Megatron by his side but then all of a sudden he wanted full control over he Decepticons and threw Megatron into a dumpster. Have you noticed a small panel that folds out below the wheels in robot mode on his legs? The panel on each leg folds open and covers up a hole in his leg as well as tabs in onto the back of the leg. I really liked that touch, and it really makes a difference.

I always try to get by transforming the toys by the directions before I resort to coming here to watch how it's done, but this guy gave me a little trouble in the legs and arms area when transforming him into vehicle mode and I just could tell what it wanted me to do. I like to tab the chest together more in robot mode to make it more uniform and hide them ugly grey window hinges. There's so much folding going on you can really align it to personal preference.

The only thing I like about the smaller Sentinel Prime is that the autobot symbol In his vehical mode is faded and scuffed making It look like he is not fully an autobot Plus I would take out the batteries it would reduce the weight of the heave backpack.

Hello Optibotimus, I don't know if you have Voyager Class Sentinel Prime but, his MechTech weapon is the rust cannon from Dark of the Moon. I am saying this because the weapon is in perfect scale for the Leader Class Sentinel Prime and can be stored in the Leader's vehicle mode. I discovered this this morning and will try to send you a picture of the underside of the firetruck with the cannon being stored. Keep in mind that the cannon is not extended when it is being stored.

I have Sentinel since 2011 and only now watching your video I realize that you can move the wheels on the legs and the mirrors can be folded on the chest for accuracy. Guess I should read the instructions more often😂

Weaponized vehicles only work, when it makes sense to do so.. ie. A Camaro makes no sense, as opposed to, say, a Fighter Jet. Also, the entire motive for the TF's utilizing a alt mode, was to ovoid detection. "Ohai guys, check out that killer firetruck! No, really, it's killer." We get what you mean, Paul.. :)
