Great review, and I agree, this figure has more to offer than meets the eye at first. When I saw other reviews, and the negativity you speak of, I wasn't planning on getting him. But when i saw him in person at a toystore here in the Netherlands, I loved his look, and couldn't resist buying him. I don't have any regrets about this guy, he looks amazing!!

On the bottom edge of the black shoulder pannels there are little hinges that fit into a gap on each side of the shoulders when the figure is being transformed into robot mode; the shoulder pannels don't have to hang around.

To me the claw thing looks more like a fusion cannon. I was really hoping the truck was a human anti-autobot vehicle, not because I dislike the idea of Megatron with an Earth mode, but because I think that would've been really cool story-wise.

I have to say, this may be the best Megatron figure we've gotten yet. However, the light grey part of the shoulder armor seems very delicate- in both the Megatrons I've gotten it had stress marks, and the hood ornament in vehicle mode snapped off in my fingers, among other things. Regardless, this figure is still amazing and the review was, too! Congrats again on the Coke sponsorship!

Very nice review! You certainly gave this figure justice, though you failed to mention how proportionally unsound it is without its cloak, and there were some minor transformation errors. BTW, the truck mode always wants to turn, but pushing in the middle wheels locks it into place.

This figure is horrendously difficult to transform due to the stiff joints, though it looks superb in both modes. Best figure in my collection. BTW the truck is supposed to be a military fuel or oil tanker.

Harrison1875 A lot of companies hire ad companies to solicit their products to be advertised. That was the case with this. Coca Cola had an ad agency that i briefly worked with offer youtubers the ability to make money if they put a spot in a video of theirs. The instructions were to just show the product and basically have fun with it. I decided to go all corny on it and i enjoyed doing it. I've done it with a couple other companies in the past as well. Lego, a youtube channel for stan lee called World of Heros and a comedy show featuring Shaq. All of those i did and got paid for them.

The extended window pane is to allow the driver to get a better point of view as to what's on the left of the truck before he makes a turn. Tractor trailers make wide right turns, so before you turn right you have to go left.

I picked him up a few days ago and am very impressed. Honestly I dunno why people have a problem with Megatron being a Truck. Megatron always was the Anti- Optimud Prime. By making him a truly menacing tanker truck with all the spikes and everything it really gives that feel of a Anti Optimus. I can't wait to see how he looks in the actual movie and I hope we get a leader of him in this mode. Great Review once again.
