In vehicle mode you can actually store Ironhide's micron just like Kup's guns, you just have to peg it in over the ball joints of the feet (just behind the normal peg holes). You'll see that they're big enough for something to be pegged in there. Easy thing to miss but it's definitely there :)

Having this Kup around, paired with the Generations version of him, I found it's a lot easier to have the Prime Kup represent and younger version of him. Works for me at least.

These figures look really awesome. My only complaint about Kup is that the robot mode of the mold seems a little too bulky for him in my opinion, but either way a pickup truck is definately good for Kup.

Kup is probably my favourite Autobot toy from the TFPrime RID line so far and I hope to get Ironhide too. And give Kup's cannons to Ironhide

i also recommend school glue because when you squirt it in the hole and plug the peg, you dont have to worry about moving the peg around to keep it from sticking to the hole. experience taught me that, try it out, it surprisingly works

The increase in price and the smaller sizes of the toys don't bother me that much. People get so mad about them but I'm thankful Hasbro still makes the damn toys and puts them out for the public to buy, even if they make a handful of dumb decisions along the way. I'll admit, I was actually shocked when I pulled Ironhide out of his box and saw how big he was in person, but I loved the figure so much that I got over the size issue very quickly. Great review, Optibotimus!

Optibotimus, I just realized this but you can plug the Kup guns together and it makes almost a "Riot Cannon" weapon. They plug together snuggly too so it is Derpy at all. All in all I agree with you on the fact that this IS ironhide though, to me it doesn't look at all like Kup really. BTW, thanks for showing that little hood mod for robot mode, that actually looks real good like that. anyhow hope you're doing good and keep them coming.

Found the problem.It was the HOLE fist that was loose.I cheked and tryed to test the fist on his other arm and it was the same.My calculations says that it's small pegs inside of the fist that is attached to the ball joint.One of them is scrapped and and that's why his arm wobbles.

There's one more step you can take to differentiate the two a little more. For the hip transformation, don't rotate it down. This gives a more short and stocky look (and well endowed), which fits Ironhide? But personally the robot mode still looks better like how you got Ironhide.

i know but i prefer for my kup paper because maybe something will get wrong and the glue will go on the base of the hole and the actual weapons or the micron will not fit anymore the paper is just a tip

WHEW I don't feel so bad now. My little ARMS-MICRON clear piece didn't fit either so I just tossed it in frustration. Not that it's awesome, but I'm just glad that I'm not the only one lol. I swapped Kup and Hide's guns too. Looks SO much better. Great minds, right?

Use a small screw or bolt (meccano) to fix the mini its leg, with what I saw on your video I would go with the bolt, and your right Ironhide version is better.

yes it is. wheeljack was fighting dreadwing and they were destroying everything. that is why it was called loose cannons.

i think loose cannon is the one where dreadwing comes back to earth and he, bulkhead, and optimus fight dreadwing. its called loose cannon because agent fowler tries to talk to wheeljack, but he fires at him. then fowler calls him "loose cannon"

Thanks for another great review. It's funny when you showed both truck modes side by side I was thinking just give Ironhide Kups wepons and call it a day. Just three days ago I was in walmart and saw an unopened case of TF Prime toys and like any good TF hunter I pulled my pocket knife and cut it open. I found one Kup and one Rumble in the case and that was it. I really like both figures but I'll prob import Ironhide as well. Don't know why they made Kup so hard to find. Anyway thx again

these figures are bit of an oddity for me. Most of the body looks good, and really would want to like it, but the two main problems I have are how the top half of the robot is so cluttered, and how I just can't bring myself to like the headsculpt. If Ironhide had come with a new head, I'd probably get him. Good review, very nicely compares the two.

hey optibotimus great review. seems like the ironhide mold was designed by takara because of the obvious weapon ports. funny how hasbro could get hold of the ironhide mold to repaint it as kup and both of those characters aren't in the show yet, but getting hold of war breakdown is too expensive lol. hasbro logic i'll never understand. anyways got my TRU MP prime today so i am really happy.

While I agree with you Optibotimus on how bigger price+Smaller figure= the way the world is heading, I honestly don't believe there's a reason for it. People should get what they paying for. These small figures for Voyager class sized prices is insane and it isn't right. And weirdly enough the prices for the voyagers in my area ARE THE EXACT SAME! I hope the economy gets fixed and Hasbro tightens those few loose screws they have in their heads. Yet again, another fantastic review! Keep it up!

Had "Hulk Ironhide" (lol...Kup). It eventually got stolen along with my Wheeljack & Bumblebee. (how THAT happened, I have no idea.) If I can get the means to obtain it, I'm going to go for the REAL Ironhide to replace it...though I wouldn't mind getting another Kup to come up with my own custom repaint: Crossovers style Megaman. (That head sculpt totally screams Megaman)

Well, the price of toys is directly correlated to energy prices. Toys are produced from oil-based plastics and factories run on large amounts of fuel. Oil is needed to power transportation from China to everywhere in the US. Current energy prices are hitting everyone hard, but what really baffles me is the stupid one-to-a-case strategy. They should make everything equally and let the buyers vote on which is wanted.

dealing with scaling that you mentioned in the video...i think they should of made actual leader class figures for Megatron and Optimus...i guess the "weaponizer" or whatever they are are supposed to be Leader Class size...but i don't think they have a Megatron (or i haven't seen it yet atleast)...but like Arcee i think for scaling according to the show should be roughly about a Scout class even in robot mode she is alot shorter then the others...and motorcycles aren't as big as other autos also

From what I've gathered online, Ironhide was supposed to be in _Transformers: Prime,_ but when the showrunners learned that Ironhide was going to die at the hands of Sentinel Prime in the then-upcoming _Dark of the Moon_ film, they switched the character to Bulkhead for two reasons: 1. Because they didn't wanna confuse fans of the live-action films with a living Ironhide, and 2. The characterization for the character was deemed much closer to Bulkhead than Ironhide.

I think they should go back to useing a little diecast. Not like the horrible diecast figures but a lot like g1. Metal feat, chests, rims. Little things like that would probly help cut some costs. And it would give the figures better quality.

Ok, the only characters that have died in the show are Cliffjumper, Breakdown, I think Airachnid, Skyquake, Unicron, Dreadwing, and Optimus looks to be dead after the season 2 finale. Tailgate never appeared in the show, sad.
