Video shows breathtaking humpback whale encounter in British Columbia

We've sailed these waters for decades, orcas and dolphins are commonly seen. Last summer's sailing trip here after 15 years of absence, we had 4 whale sightings, 2 were of humpbacks. And it was amazing! I hope this means the environment is regaining its health.

I grew up in that area and quite often as teenagers we would be out there in a 12 foot aluminum boat and although I didn't see any hunpback's, I did encounter many orcas over my time and often they would come up and play beside the boat.
