Dallin Lewis, 33, decided to run his own experiment after seeing multiple articles online debating just how hygienic hand dryers actually are.
He wanted to see for himself how much bacteria would come out of hand dryers - and so used the equipment he already had to find out.

When you dry your hands on the back of your jeans because the air dryer is weak and worthless, bearing in mind you have been wearing you jeans from 1 to several days, sitting either in your home, car, train, bus, restaurants or wherever, how much bacteria is there now on your hands ✋ 😀

An air dryer is surely only forcing out air already in the room. So bacteria in the air gets circulated... Did you do a hand waving in each location?? I'm not convinced the dryer is the issue here. I know for a fact that an open Petri dish in a room will get growth on it even not being waved around which makes me question the validity of the one dish that we waved around

I’m certain if you leave an open agar plate in a room that you will se growth, especially in the bathroom but he’s simulating what you do after you wash your hands. You shake them in the air and leave…you don’t leave your hands just sitting there all day on the countertop.

The problem is, what if someone gets poop on their hands and they don't wash their hands very well, then jam their hands to close to hand dryer.
