He bloated it out too much, introduced too many unnecessary characters & details and ultimately made Dany (and the whole Mereen arc) staid and boring. Did not enjoy the last third of ADWD. Thanks for this though, I'll save it for when WOW comes out. Reckon George will finally finish it, but Dream of Spring won't happen unless perhaps he passes on to a trusted scribe.

Thank you for this recap, it's very useful to catch up with the story and refreshing missed details. I would recommend though loosing the voice breaks in between pages, it's quite distracting, as well as reading properly the characters names (you keep saying Illroy instead of Illyrio, Yunkaish instead of Yunkish etc.).

I really hope nothing bad happens to Jamie after Brienne takes him to Catelyn. I believe he's either going to be forced to fight Brienne to the death or he's going to have to choose between Cersei and Brienne and kill one of the two. Stoneheart does not seem to be interested in evidence or reason though, and I was never a fan of Catelyn, so I don't know.

Couple of things… I’m sure I’ll edit and add as I hear more but for now…. 1. As far as Bran you have to remember him being stronger than 6 Skins is because Bran is a Green-seer, not just a skin changer. How’s it go? The saying is that one in a thousand men are born skinchangers, and one in a thousand skinchangers are born greenseers? So there’s that. Also I think the nickname for Eddison Tollett, “Dolorous Edd” is pronounced like dough-low-russ. Not like the female name Dolores. And now a question… I haven’t read this book more than once and it was long ago and even though I have all the audiobooks I’m more than certain I fell asleep past the part when team Bran went to the 3 eyed raven cave…. How was Bran eating the Jojen paste if he’s still alive? Anyway that’s the way you made it sound in the beginning of that section of the video. And lastly (for now anyway) thank you for making this video. I for one really appreciate it.

Alright, much of 8 (and the ending) is wishy washy, but right the way through there have been scenes and dialogues that were better done. Ned's beheading, Tyrion's trial and the fight, Brienne and the Hound, Hardhome (albeit Jon could theoretically go there on resurrection), Tyrion and Jorah going to Mereen. There is also good writing in seasons 6 and 7.
