For me this is how my revenue model works: -KZbin Adsense -Adsense on my Graphic Design Blog -Graphic Design Clients (Social Media is Huge Inbound Marketing) -Brand Deals/Sponsorship via Patreon, Reelio and Individually. -Merchandise via Spreadshirt -Art Prints via Deviant Art and CafePress -Writing Deals with Various Design Publications -Paid Webinars (third party) -Speaking Engagements -Consulting and Workshops -Affiliate Marketing (multiple sources including Amazon) -Patreon (just really starting this) The next big push for me is digital and physical products (ebooks, books and video guide downloads, templates), my own webinars using Webinar Jam, Creating Ecourses for sites like Udemy and licensing some content to places like VideoBlocks Market Place.

These are my sources of income, from the perspective of an art channel: -Art channel Adsense -Vlog channel Adsense -Patreon -Online store where I sell original art and art prints (different than a typical YT merch store) -Occasional freelance for other KZbinrs, but I'm trying to distance myself from that and devote my time to my own projects -Occasional brand deal (again, trying to minimize this) -Selling my art at local conventions (also allows viewers to come meet me) -Occasional extra merch, like my upcoming Teespring campaign, and an art book down the road. I think it's a bit easier for artists to make additional income because selling art is kind of expected of us. Everything we make can be turned into a product to sell.

Baylee Jae When I read the ad-sense rules, one of the rules said "Publishers may not sign up for an ad-sense account if they have an account already", so how can you have 2 adsense channels? O_O Also, does that rule also mean you can't have an adsense channel if you have another channel that you use for "casual stuff?"

WilliamRayWalters With Patreon you have less of a revenue split of that money than you would with KZbin Fan Funding, also if you're with an MCN they take a cut for you Fan Funding since it is part of your overall adsense revenue...

Something new I am trying is teaching at conventions since I am a DIY blogger, I have 2 watercolor & Rubber Stamping classes at a convention in June that I was planning of going to anyway. I have quite a few people signed up already after promoting it on my channel. If it works out and I enjoy it I may consider traveling around the country to do more. It is a good option for how-to type channels I think. Also for DIYers they might sell patterns or plans to go with their tutorials or be affiliates to companies that sell the supplies they use or even just have a trade deal with companies so they can get free products to reduce their overhead expenses. I find companies are really open to that arrangement and a penny saved is a penny earned!

I have a youtube channel. Had it for almost 2 to 3 years. I don't mainly want a million some subscribers ( i need a lot to get noticed) , or for the money ( I want to make money off of it so that when I get a family, I could support them). The main reasons I made a youtube channel is simple: 1: I want to make my life worth living. I want to actually do something with my life and be happy. 2: I want to never be forgotten. I don't want to die as a lonely everyday-gamer, I want to die with some stuff for people to remember me by. 3: I want to make people happy. The MAIN reason isn't for self benefit, it is for everyone else. Everyday, when I watch someone like BeyondUnstable make art, someone like Pewdiepie or SMG4 make some retarded stuff, i watch it with a smile on my face. And I want to give people that same kind of happines. I want to spend my whole life making people happy.

Many people think Adsense is the only way to make money on KZbin. But that's just the beginning (heck, it may not even be the beginning for some people). There are so many ways to generate income as Tim pointed out. Adsense is the easiest and most well-known way to start the cashflow (albeit a very small amount if you're a beginner with a small audience). I always recommend KZbinrs to take consistent action first and build their audience up before expecting a huge amount of revenue. Once you have a solid audience (1,000 subscribers is a good goal) then you can start implementing these other methods like affiliations, sponsorships, brand deals, fan funding, and selling your own products. Trust me, it works. You don't need a massive audience, just a highly dedicated one.

I've been wondering about the business side of KZbin for a while. My channel is very new (less than a month old with 10 videos up) so I haven't started exploring ways to make money because I know I'm not ready for that. My question is: At what point should one consider monetizing videos and thinking about other ways to make money on KZbin? Is it dependent on number of subscribers, views, engagement, etcetera.? What other metrics/factors should be looked at? If Tim or other creators can share their thoughts and experiences, I would appreciate it. Thanks! And again, great video Tim!

The Chicks Life Charnells Beauty Spot You could always try some micro stock agency websites. A lot of the content there does have to pass the Quality Control but they might be looking for the type of content you have. I have been working on building my library on sites such as RevoStock, Pond5, iStockPhoto, Shutterstock, etc. You could also do a google search for stock footage sites. Most of them have links on the site that say "Become a Contributor" or something like that. I'm working on building up a portfolio so I can place my footage on Film Supply and Dissolve.

Magazine commissions pay pretty well, and after a set amount of time, I can then create a PDF of my original pattern and sell in my online store. Hi where you hired by a company to start these channels and are they backing you or did you just come up with all this in your own? Because I'm quite impressed. There are only a handful of KZbinrs that I come across that really go down the right path /smart paths with their KZbin careers and use it as a stepping stone so they have things to fall back on in case KZbin one day isn't working for them anymore. And your another one I just added to that handful. Very smart man you are. I can just tell. Your not a whimpy guy by any means not only smart but your strong to. But I suggest you take a break. Slow down. Just by watching this video not sure how long ago it was but you look like you are a man who lives for only his work. Take a vacation. You deserve it. :)

Right now my channel is based on providing quick motivation. It is still small so I've stayed away from promoting products so that people can appreciate the content. At what point is it a good idea to start pushing products?
@TommyJereiah9 жыл бұрын
New Future Builder Gauge it, you don't need a super large audience you just need a dedicated one, and you are the best person to determine how dedicated your audience is. In terms of numbers a solid number to begin selling product could be 1,000 subscribers, but again it is about the loyalty of your audience. Another reason why I suggest 1,000 subscribers is, once a KZbinr has 1,000 subscribers you will be able to apply to Famebit (sponsorships). Hustle On my friend!

The idea of making money online sounds big t me. I've been trying to do that since 2014. Anyways KZbin seems to be working for me but I've not made anything yet. I've heard the words affiliate, Adsense and lots more but I've not really made any money.

Why do you post the title of your video on Spanish? but I made the same search in English and your video appeared it.. I think this is on purpose right?? can you tell me at little bit how you do it??

How do you advertise your KZbin channel to get more subscribers?
@KonradoCirilo8 жыл бұрын
You didn't include commissions. Like making music/videos for money.

When I read the ad-sense rules, one of the rules said "Publishers may not sign up for an ad-sense account if they have an account already" Does that mean I can't have an adsense monetization channel if I have another youtube channel already? Because I use this account for casual entertainment.

Thank you for this awesome video ! :) I was always wondering how youtubers got paid thanks to the ads, I always thought that a follower had to actually buy the thing sold on the ad for the youtuber to win a revenue. I would love to make my blog my job, but unfortunately I feel like my niche doesn't enable me to use these kind of tips :( (apart from amazon affiliating maybe, and still it seems to me that there's not much on amazon about what I do) I thought about writing an e-book and selling it, but every single information you can learn about bento is already available free on the internet...

Kelyrin's Cooking & Bento "every single information you can learn about bento is already available free on the internet" Kelyrin, people don't just pay for content, but for style. Almost everything you see on SciShow--an enormously popular KZbin channel--can be learned free elsewhere online. But people love the host, and the style of delivery. If you make your comment charming, entertaining, etc., then you could still attract a large following. Consider the Car Talk guys. They did a hugely popular listener call-in radio show for years (in the U.S.). I have very little interest in cars, but these guys (two brothers) where an absolute riot to listen to! They had great advice for their callers, but it was their charm, humor and cleverness that won them a huge and loyal following. Good luck!

Kelyrin's Cooking & Bento Hey Kelyrin! When you are building a brand and an authentic audience of dedicated subscribers or followers people will buy into YOU.....not necessarily your e-book! So what I am saying is once you engage your audience and they get to learn more about YOU, then you can sell a paper bag and they will buy it because people are buying YOU as the brand! Also, put your OWN twist on Bento....create easy ways to talk about it, teach it and tutorials that are fun and have elements of YOU in it! NO ONE can be YOU....so the other info out there may be good and interesting to learn from but it is NOT organically you with your footprint and stamp on it!! Go FOR it!!! Hope this helps!! Melanie

I am new on this and hearing you is inspiring. You are doing well because you want to help others and help us send our messages as well. I am going to be 59 years old in August and I will be releasing my first music video - a dream of becoming an actress at the age 2. I want to send out the message that you can create your dreams no matter how old you are. My main goal is to inspire. Thank you so much for the info.

@Jason-nc4pm8 жыл бұрын
Depending on where you are from you can do quarterly if your making a lot of money from digital products. I do that for my moms business so we don't get hit at the end of the year with a large amount owed.

***** No. It'll be a custom paid membership site. There's more value I want to deliver than just premium videos through Vessel or even through something like Patreon.

@Thrust_Rider8 жыл бұрын
this is very helpful but with going live, if the person who donated lets say £100 or $100 if they want that back then it would cost you more to repay them. maybe make a vid about this. pls
