Great reaction!! The music video is a reference to the movie Jennifer's Body which is basically about this demon girl who kills men and the ending of the music video is recreating a pretty memorable shot of the movie. That’s what we call pop punk (sad lyrics and poppy sound) it’s cool Olivia helped bring it back to mainstream. Pop punk never died but it just stopped being mainstream sadly. I would never hear any of my fav bands on the radio since the 00s so I’m glad more mainstream artists are incorporating it in their music.

The Smartfood Popcorn is definitely product placement. All the other food in that gas station aisle is backwards faced so no brand labels are showing. If it wasn't product placement, they would have made a fake brand name for the popcorn, not make it the only one with a brand name shown.

Rumors are that the video is a reference to 3 early 2000s films The opening scene where shes being filmed is supposedly a reference to a horror film called the Audition, the blue uniform is a reference to princess diaries (the uniforms are VERY similiar to what the mean girls in that movie wore) and the ending with the fire and lake are a reference to Jennifer's body as others have stated. The photo in the locker doesn't look like her ex Joshua Bassett but it's an open secret that this album is about him dumping her and dating sabrina carpenter two weeks later. Sabrina wrote "because i liked a boy" about the death threats and vile comments she got as a result of the situation

Oh my frickin God, I love the song but this is the first time I've seen the video itself, and I was immediately like "omg that looks like Audition" then I saw the gloves and my eyes popped more, and then I was seeing Megan Fox in her face and next thing you know, Jennifer's Body references with the water. This is special for me, and thanks for proving me right to myself! 😂 I didn't catch TPD references, myself, but that's really cool. Thanks for awesome info!

I really think you would love Bring Me The Horizon’s music videos. Their frontman directs and edits their recent music videos, they do a lot of practical effects, and it’s just INSANE!!!!! Teardrops is my favorite, but OBEY, mantra, parasite Eve, ludens, and Die4u are also REALLY amazing!
