For all of you space 'geniuses', there's a ton of rocket companies around the world that are not trying to be SpaceX. They have their area of expertise and some are launching regular commercial payloads. Some will grow and some will fail. That's how it works.

While SpaceX is revolutionizing the aerospace industry, building superior rockets and spacecraft as well as working on future space exploration, Blue Origin is sending the ultra rich on a 15 min joyride into the Stratosphere strapped into a rocketship resembling a giant dildo.

The best part of this was being in the live chat during this cringey event. They tried to make it sound like this is a huge deal and these "astronauts" trained hard for this $500,000 7 min ride into space 😂🤣. They all came back acting like they just came back from the ISS. They could have gotten a better, longer and cheaper ride if they flew on the vomit comet. It was really fun though. Honestly, I haven't laughed this much in a long time. Thanks Bezos. After watching this I now know now why they say you'll always be in Elons dust. Notice that they have to give away free trips. Very few rich people are willing to pay for this. These are the same type of genesis that payed hundreds of thousands of dollars to go down on the Titan submersible to the Titanic an never came back.
@sslcm564 сағат бұрын
Well, they may actually get to the altitude that they are actually in space but it's more of an expensive toy for rich people than anything else. There isn't any serious work being done or accomplishments being made.

Let me tell you what's sickening about this. At the beginning, did you hear the Introduction. All these people are talking about , Oh, everyone should do this, yeah right, this guy runs a risk managementcompanyand so on. It might sound like I am mad or upset but the announcer (female) with the smile onbher face sounds so fake. Only Millionaire's get yo fly. SO SAD.
@403.FORBIDDEN2 сағат бұрын
Bruh that's how it works. Nearly everything affordable today started by being expensive and therefore limited to who can partake. Cars, airplanes, helicopters, all various types of products that are now standard. The fact that going to space became affordable enough for CIVILIANS is proof of this and it will only become cheaper in the future.
