This is the highest quality footage ive seen of this game on here and I love the fact that it exists in the first place. This was one of the first games I ever played as a kid and the fact that it's hardly in circulation anymore is a complete shame. Oh yes! More coverage and something I wanted to add: This game, at least in Japan, is a tie-in with a japanese show called: "Emergency vehicle 24 o'clock" (緊急車両24時): ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%B7%8A%E6%80%A5%E8%BB%8A%E4%B8%A124%E6%99%82 (in japanese), a documentary show focused on both emergency services like firefighters and medics and public services like tollbooth highways and airport control from what I can tell, with police as the sole exception. And apparently, from what I can recall too, this version is a localization of "緊急車両24時 Code One Dispatch", but judging from what is found on Google Images (not sponsored), both games seem to be the exact same thing since not even the japanese uploaded gameplay footage or made it further to find out... I really look forward for a longplay!

Wild...thats a totally new fact to me. What a strange tie in as this is off the wall crazy compared to real life stuff

@@VideoGameEsoterica Oh, wait... Something I've just realized: The intimate documentary program, "Emergency vehicle 24 o'clock" first aired in 2015 and "Code One Dispatch" was released in December 2000... In Japan, so the game used the "Emergency vehicle 24 o'clock" name way before the show so it's obvious Google made a mistake... Still, those findings are way too interesting.

I just saw a game on the Xbox store called soemthing like "Drive OR Survive" (EDIT: It's "Speed OR Death," lol) and it features stages where you drive around while, like, meteors and aliens are blasting down, or Dinosaurs are stomping around, and I was watching the trailer (It's only $7; it seems like it'll be bad so I don't want to buy it, lol. Maybe I'm wrong though and I should try it anyway) thinking that it was like.... a game comprised ONLY of all the cool trackside things going on in old arcade racers. Like, I LOVED how, in Splashdown 2, one of the tracks was set in a Dinosaur-themed theme park attraction, and as you raced through it, it would go wrong, and so all the dinosaurs in Lap 1 would be broken robots that were falling apart and sparking by Lap 3 as the track was falling apart? I LOVED that kind of thing. I wish there were games that let you interact with those things in environment more back then... Needless to say, you showing this madness off now is really strange timing! lol. I LOVE THIS. It really is goofy as hell, and that's EXACTLY what you want from stuff like this. It feels to me like Konami played a Cruis'n game or Beetle Adventure Racing once, got drunk at an izekaya that night, forgot most of it except the weird UFO Easter Eggs on the side of the track and said, "We can do that kind of game!" Thanks so much for sharing this one!

A game by Konami set in Chicago, right after Teraburst, that's very nice for you, even though the police cars do not resemble the actual police cars used by the Chicago PD. As you and other fellow citizens of the city like you know, Chicago's cop cars are not panda-style. Seeing both of these games set in Chicago does make some sense given that Konami's North American arcade operations were based in near-by Buffalo Grove, located northwest of Downtown Chicago and south of Vernon Hills, the original home for Midway. Interestingly, Chicago was also home to one of Konami's former overseas development studios known as KCEC, which developed Project Overkill and Broken Helix starring Bruce Campbell, both for the PlayStation. On one other note, it's neat to see the blue Ford Mustang from Thrill Drive make a cameo appearance in one of the game's cutscenes.

@@Razorblade1812Here's the thing about Konami: Back in 1996 up until 2003, Konami have made arcade games that appealed to the Americans from GTI Club to Teraburst to Silent Scope to Code One Dispatch to Police 911 to Warzaid (World Combat). From 2003 to onwards, Konami have focused on Japanese anime styled games, starting with Quiz Magic Academy to the later pop'n music games.
