The world is worse off without Bea Arthur. I believe few fans saw the real Bea. She was private and sensitive, and a very caring human being. I love(d) her honesty and sharp wit. She didn't have time for things that have no soul. She was lovely - inside and out. She was the kind of person people should look up to, instead we seem to honour shallowness and stupidity nowadays.
