There is no guarantee he will ever recover to a state where he will be able to make any kind of public appearences ever again, which is incredibly sad. It's been a long time now and really we have no idea what kind of condition he's in for sure but it obviously can't be that great if the family want to still keep it private.

Yeah, but I don't know how to say it nicer. He is a vegetable it seems. Jean todt, Ross Brown and a priest have visited him and by their comments there isn't much left. The family doesn't want the public involved and keep everything private and their comments aren't very precise, but that's the message you get. I think there is a documentary of a kid who was snowboarding and had pretty much the same injury as Michael. If u see that, it's clear there isn't really recovery. I wish for a miracle

Michael wasn't there to win every race like back in the days, it was a different story. According to Mercedes and Ross Brawn, he was testing some parts here and there, developing the car in racing conditions. There were a lot of mechanical failures at Michael's car.

@Jason I think people should look at Michaels achievements big time 2012. 37yo going away doing nothing coming back at 41 is incredible. It would be hard for a 29yo going way doing nothing and coming back at 33 would be difficult, let alone a 41 yo 2010,2011 his body was adapting to the stresses of F1 once again. 2012 his strength was back, but obviously reflexes forever gone they would've been on way out 2006. But 2012 without multiple mechanical failures he would've done Rosberg. Getting beat up by a 43 yo is unforgivable. I think I would quit. Even if it was Schumacher i lost to. If you can't beat up a 43 yo it doesn't look good. And he couldn't beat him on track 2012 when both cars finished. You shouldn't be slower a sector let alone a lap or a race. Schumacher showed how weak Rosberg was 2012 in my book.

@Jason 96 Ferrari had nothing to do with benneton team members. Brawn didn't come till 97 Schumacher only won 1 less race then Villeneuve 96 and Williams was a far superior car. Schumacher was a speed machine 94,95,96,97

The truth about Schumacher needing his teammates to sign #2 driver contracts so they weren't allowed to beat compete against him on a level playing field has been leaked. His whole first career is based on a lie: "At the time I handled people like Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine, Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi, and every time we went to sign a contract with Michael Schumacher or Ferrari it always had conditions in it" - Eddie Jordon. "Whether I signed with Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello or whoever they were - there was a clause there that they always had to play second-fiddle to Michael Schumacher.' Eddie Jordan "I had an opportunity to go to Ferrari but the contract that was offered by Jean was that if Michael was 5th and I was 4th, I had to move over, and, if I was 1st and he was 2nd, I had to move over.I couldn't sign a contract that committed me to being a #2" - David Coulthard. "Ferrari, the contract that was offered effectively made me, on paper, number two to Michael. I've no doubt that Michael was the stronger driver out of the two because I recognise he was a better overall package than I was but at that stage of my career, I just couldn't accept signing a number two contract and that's why I decided to sign at McLaren and I think that was the right decision for my career." Thank you so much for uploading this. This was the 2011 Grand Prix which I attended. I wish I had seen the filming. Since it is sunny, it must have been taped on Friday morning. I watched FP1, and FP2. Maybe it was filmed before that. I arrived exactly at the start of the morning practice.

This race was Michael's 'this who I am, this is what I can do. Even in my 40's. Let's have it.' He was incredible in this race before it dried out. Then went went backwards because the Merc ate its' tyres.

ArthurAlcantara That's Rubens Barrichello not Felipe Massa. Note the Williams uniforms, and Massa was at Ferrari back in 2011. But yes it was a classy gesture, considering Michael's awkward hello just before it.
