Yes, this "Good Night" message sometimes came up on nights they didn't show their promo feed sequence for cable operators to use.

I find it interesting that they used an entirely different test screen instead of the same one, just without the "promo feed" message.

DTV's music heard during the intro/outro and intermission sequences were from the stock library of "Network Music". I don't know the particular track titles, but the tunes were used quite a lot in the 80's for all sorts of local advertisements I used to hear on radio and TV.

VideoRewind Used to hear it a few times for some sort of event like a speedway or something in town once. Those tracks were just kinda standard for their time.

Movie at the start was "The Boatniks" (1970). Somewhere, I have an old VHS tape my parents recorded off Disney Channel back then. May even have been this broadcast.

VideoRewind Thank you so very much for posting this. It's always cool to see rare treasures like these pop up again. Especially in the form of sign-ons or sign-offs which are now practically extinct from television now. I also remember TDC being a premium pay channel on cable for many years since it's launch. When did it become available on a basic cable package like it is now? Thanks again.

Disney Channel became a basic cable channel in 1998. Before that year it was always a premium channel.

Did you find American Movie Classics (AMC) bumpers and promos, classic trailers and intros/conclusions with the AMC hosts: Bob Dorian, John Gabriel, Shirley Jones, Gene Klavan, Anne Jeffreys, Cesar Romero (The Joker from Batman '66), Dorothy Lamour, Ernest Borgnine, Omar Sharif, Debbie Reynolds (the mother of Carrie Fisher aka General Leia, R.I.P. and granddaughter of Billie Lourd), Donald O'Connor, J.K. Simmons (aka J. Jonah Jameson, the radio announcer of AMC next bumper), Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. and Nick Clooney (the father of George Clooney) in the Early 1990's (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994)?

As I said before, I'll certainly let you know if I find any. I have no way of knowing what survived the years and what didn't, and I'm converting/uploading tapes as I go through them instead of putting wear on the players just to search for things first. By the way, where are you getting the broadcast dates? Are you pulling these from a personal collection of TV guides or is there an online database of old TV listings somewhere?

Yep! As a token of my appreciation, I have The Disney Channel Magazines April 1983-November/December 1989... I have The Disney Channel Magazine June 1985 and I looked at the schedule and program listings. It says *"BOATNIKS"* and *"DTV"* on June 28th.
