Oh yes. Cute little soul was trying its best and someone became an angel for it. So many surely died in these floods. Nice police guy. And thanks for your thought for the kitty :) I have my 6 strays here who I give breakfast and dinner everyday last 3 years. When my basement flooded…I was looking for them frantically until 1am. I could not eat until I knew they were safe. I could eat my dinner that Tuesday night only after seeing all of them. Still the baby kitty is missing. I asked each cat where’s the one and all I heard was MEOW. :)

My aunt has worked in Abu Dhabi for over four decades. When I was still in the UAE (I worked in Dubai for over 10 years), she told me that back in the 1980s, rain would come once or twice every year --- meaning there was rain 1-2 days only every year. During my time there (2006-2016), rain lasted for about 1-2 weeks (cumulatively). Nothing like this, though. Take care, everyone.

Once a good vegetation is developed, naturally it will rain more often without manipulation. Also. The trees will block the sun so the water won't evaporate so quickly. It's a working process but they should definitely create a creek with a very large pond depot or connect the creek to a lake. Use the pond to reserve water for plants but protect your city from flooding
