I can't believe people are blaming the Red rocks. Did they just wake up and realize they were in Colorado? People actually complaining that they were allowed to go back to their seats after a delay from lightning. As if they couldn't look up and see the problem, or look at their phone and check the weather, instead just blame the venue. Just imagine how many people would be complaining if they'd told them to go home and nothing happened. You really can't win today, people are so stupid.

you were not there so wouldn’t know. I was there - checking weather every few minutes. It was clear skies ahead according to my app, according to app from security and other concert goers. the storm came out of nowhere . it was incredibly violent and limited space for shelter. there was flooding , power outage, and people bleeding. If you can’t be supportive, then don’t comment at all

It said there was a delay for lightning and they let people go back in I'm commenting on them complaining about it. So to say nobody knew would be false. The last time I was at the Red rocks we left early because a storm was coming. I can tell you hail storms have caused a lot bigger problems in my life than ruining a concert.

Do you have any idea how small indoor areas are at the Amphitheater? Trying to protect everyone would have caused much worse problems. Amazingly, only seven people had broken bones (it could have easily been dozens), no deaths and no crowd crushes. For Red Rocks, that’s actually impressive

if you’re not going to be supportive of people who went through this then don’t comment at all. good for you for being able to predict the weather - you do realize that is impossible, right ? weather can change in a sec - especially at RR- especially this time of year . It was showing clear skies ahead minutes before the hail and flooding started .

colorado is one of the states that experiences all 4 seasons in one day. nobody checks the weather app here. we only respond to weather alerts and warnings- and, plus, it was a concert, they all had their phones off or on silent.

The bands and venues have schedules. They can't just play another day. As long as the lightning alert system isn't reading anything within the prescribed immediate area the show goes on. If I paid money I am going to be there lol. With a nice poncho and maybe a tarp. I was at Northerly Island in Chicago one time during a big storm and there was 6 inches of water up pooled up near the stage while the band was playing.
