Thanks for the talk, Mr. Milnor. Professor Walter Lewin covers this in his first video of Classical Mechanics. He determines the parameters of the scaling argument, showing femur cross-section and length cubed to be proportional to the weight, due to gravitational force. For skull shape, etc, there are other selective pressures which drive niche construction. Evolutionary biology has answers for many of these "engineering" aspects of evolving transformation.
