VideoStudio Alpha Channels - exporting videos with transparent backgrounds

The exported MOV file works great if I import it back into VideoStudio but it will not import into Vegas Pro 20 without "unsupported format" error.

Hi I have a problem you may be able to help me with. I have Pinnacle Studio 15 and have just downloaded Pinnacle Studio 26 upgrades for my Pinnacle Studio 15 to my pc. How do I add my upgrades to my Pinnacle Studio 15?

@Geeven I believe this only works with Corel Videostudio Ultimate 2019 because I use Corel Videostudio Pro X9 and it's not showing for me either.

This is nice if you have a png file you want to put into a video. What I cannot find is how to make the background of a video transparent.

Hi Richard - with Video masks you can make a background of a video transparent and export it as an Alpha Channel. We do not have a video on this to date - but you may find value asking other experienced users how to do this in the user Forum: forum.corel.com/viewforum.php?f=1. Good luck! We'd love to see what you create once you do it.

@@VideoStudioPro I learned how to make a Green Screen with a bright green poster board. Cheap, too. Then it is easy to use the Chroma Key to make the green transparent.. one big point is this: You have to render the project to an MOV file because mp4 does not allow the Alpha Channel.

This feature is new in VideoStudio 2019.
