Just wanted to repost my idea for the tournament: A Round Robin format with each Match consisting of 4 Rapid Games between the players. Pretty much like the recently concluded Champions Chess Tour Finals last month. Just the difference being - all 4 games of each match will begin simultaneously as a Simul. And to avoid the chances of similar games and to actually force the players to be creative, make 2 games Chess960. In case of a 2-2 draw, a 2-game Chess960 blitz Simul shall be played between the players, followed by a 2-game Standard Armageddon Simul with one player playing Black on both boards with less time but needing to score only 1 point out of 2 to qualify. Scoring can be same as CCT: +3 and 0 for winner and loser respectively if match is decided in Rapid section. +2 and +1 for winner and loser respectively otherwise.
