Thanks for sharing your experience at Pentridge. We just booked to stay in June and are really looking forward to the tour. We’ll be at the Asian apartment hotel instead of the interlude so I hope it still offers a lot of the same opportunities.

Thanks ladies, glad you liked the video, welcome to the tribe. You mean the Adina hotel? Well it'll have a better view that's for sure (and way less haunted 🙂). The tours are really great. The B Division tour goes through the middle of the Interlude hotel giving you a chance to see it up close, and it also includes access to the Panopticon exercise yard. But you wouldn't want to miss the H Division tour either that we did, so I'd suggest going for the All Access ticket. Let us know how you went and what you thought. Cheers, M & I

@ haha yes we meant Adina hotel (damn autocorrect 🤦🏻♀️). Thanks for the heads up that we need to do the all access tour to see H block as well. Appreciate the advice.

@travelwithdebandnick thanks guys, welcome and thanks for the support. It's really worth doing the tour even if you aren't staying at the hotel, I found it fascinating and scary. It's an amazing bit of Melbourne history.👍

I hear you. It's not all fancy and fixed. They've left most of it as a legacy to teach about the past.

Could be used as movie sets too.

Yes I believe that it does get used for movies and TV shows. The Eric Bana movie "Chopper" was filmed on location

I could never stay there. Too creepy even though they have done it up. The place is haunted. Think of the kind of energies and spirits you have around you while you take a bath or sit on the toilet. The place is claustrophobic, has strange acoustics and no windows. Making it posh would outrage some of the departed that suffered and died there. Just remember the universe is multi dimensional. What is put out there leaves an imprint.

Hi Ulrike, welcome to our little channel, we hope you stay for the journey! Yeah we had the same discussion while laying in bed, wondering who and how many had slept in the cell before us and what kind of imprint they left. Admittedly I didn't sleep well that night. Regardless of the accommodations I highly recommend doing the tours there, I found it a fascinating place to visit with very knowledgeable guides and the multimedia experience is really well done. It's a great piece of Melbourne's history that's been well preserved and cared for. Thanks for taking the time to comment, it's much appreciated 💗

Its all fine till you find out that someone may have died or was injured in the space were your eating and staying in . i went in to see my dad at age 6 to ând half i spewed up after seeing him all over the car i seen him in a the hall with me faceing the blue stone wall sitting at bench and crying i sat on the floor in there and cryed he was in there he then went back to the holding cell then returned to his cell for a while .it is now good . Gate with red behind it in my head with no way through .

That sucks. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I can tell you honestly, I didn't sleep easy that night. There's some things that can't be erased or glossed over with wall paper I guess.

Whats left of it.... 🥺

Yes Phil, they have torn down a lot of it, but what's remaining has been well preserved to continue to tell the story. It's well worth a visit of you get the chance.
