I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

Moving averages only show you the past. They don't help to predict the future. Terrible for beginners. I recommend stochastic oscillator as it easily shows whether the future price will rise or fall. When it's above 80 you trade fall when it's below 20, you trade rise. You will definitely make some profits.

I am a student of this trade. You cannot completely dismiss any strategy. Also, you start your entry "after" you believe a trend has started. Forex is not about predicting the future.There are literally dozens of strategies and individuals will choose when or what strategies to combine with. What makes Forex complex and difficult is that there is no one size fits all strategy.

@@zakariafarah1101 the fact is, there are indicators that are better than others. Moving averages are only good for long term trades which most beginners do not have a grasp of. Stochastic oscillator however can be used for short term trades to easily identify when the price is overbought or oversold.
