A fabulous concert by the Upcoming Nadhaswara Vidhwan Mayilai Karthikeyan with excellent support from.all the senior accompany musicians. Mayilai Karthikeyan seems to have been fully blessed by Mayilai KarpaagambaL and Mayilai Kapaleeswarar.

outstanding mohanam, sowkyamaana soulfilling karaharapriya that brings tears to your eyes, a breathtaking desh - clearly a star in the making. 👏🏼 is it a touch of patronising that we see in the senior accompanists? as the concert progressed, i see they were also getting their surprises and lessons - like the faux pas of the violinist not only presuming but prematurely 'ending' karaharapriya in her 'enthusiasm' ahead of the main artist forgetting her place as an accompanist, and getting 'educated' by the still to come tailpiece that showed her and all how to end the alapana with so much feel and finesse. but it is pardonable, as she is clearly so very happy and proud of the 'boy' like an elder sister showcasing her own talented younger brother :) as for the percussionists' frequent speaking to each other while serious music is being rendered...., well....., it's..., you know... it's not another day in the office... ? :( of course, humility is that rare virtue that teaches a young talent as much if not more. so it is in keeping and augurs well for him that the youngster conducted himself without showing any registering of these as annoyances, in order to receive so much of learning from the seniors in concert class performance, besides the obvious adding to his brand value.. these aside, overall there is no question - it is an exceedingly good concert, with all the senior artists rendering top quality performances - ah, the scintillating thani aavarthanam ! - to make the day for the upcoming vidvan and all of us listeners :). we are also indebted to nadhainbam and the uploader for the delectable share. may god bless him for many more years of naadhOpasana and fulfilment.

Vidhwan Mylai Karthikeyan is one of the outstanding present generation Nadhaswaram artist. He has been rapidly growing in stature in his field. This concert is amazing. Alapana in Mohanam and Karaharapriya followed by krithis Evarura and Chakkani Raja have been excellently rendered. Vidhushi Smt. Padma Shankar, Vidhwan Sri J.Vaidhyanathan and Vidhwan Sri Karthik have given excellent support. It is a brilliant concert.

Aha. I think all the pleasure centers in my brain were firing at once, this was brahmanandam. The beautiful rendition of even thukkadas like the Jingla raga one is just scintillating. Majesty of Dikshithar came in the vilamba kala rendition. Every song was making me filled with anticipation for the next. May Paramacharya allow for many years of such bliss to all music rasikas by giving you a 100 years.

Vidwan Shri Mylai Karthikeyan is growing from strength to strength everyday. He is in great demand everywhere these days. All the very best to him and God Almighty Bless him. Vidushi Mrs. Padma Shankar is an excellent violin player and both laya vidwans Shri J. Vaidyanathan and Dr. Shri S. Karthick are very well known instrument players and today we have an excellent team and are able to hear outstanding carnatic music at its best form. God Bless all the artistes.

A revolutionary concert I would say.. We generally feel thavil is the only percussion instrument that would accompany the nadhaswaram.. Here.. The legends just made us feel awestruck.. Amazing🙏🙏😊
