This vintage audio classic collection is unbelievably great. It is unlike any other - uncorrupted or original music composition and voice that feels simple ( yet inimitable) that flows without any hindrance and with unbound joy. I loved every moment of this collection. V.V.Sadagopan may be called a Maestro. Good collection. Rendering of all songs are interesting and the ragaas are brought out very well. In between the serial numbers 8 & 9 or/and 9 & 10, some parts of Suprapadam etc. are there.

Must have been late 40s or early 50s. By the 60s he had settled down as Prof of Music in Delhi University. Later ran a magazine called Thyaga Bharathi, ran a school near Ambur. One day simply got down from the train around Bitragunta and disappeared leaving family and friends. Nothing known therafter about him! A great person simple, erudite and childlike.

Dear Sir, Any chance - you would know anything about accompanying artists? Violin still sounds like seven stringed. But could be Mysore Chowdiah or V Sethuramaiah. Not sure. Would be great if you can shed some light if possible. Thanks!

My father Sri V. Sethurama iah a 7strings violinist accompanied Sri V.V. Satagopan number of performances. Both were dear friends to their whole life. I thank you for arranging such good programme and enable carnatic music fans to cheer their memories I am old man 83 years. I am happy to hear such recordings.
