Roti--Agriculture,separation of grain from chaff,grinding and then preparing roti a long process.Kapda--Agriculture of cotton,shift to mills for preparing threads,then to factory for making plain cloth then to tailor for final stitch.Makaan--Preparation of bricks,preparing tiles,preparing paints,preparing cement and adhesive etc..Teaching the basics in schools should be part of curriculum.Then only our children understand importance of agriculture, farming,factories etc. and come in terms with reality.They don't superior and inferior feelings with different occupations and understand the pain that undergoes in different occupations.

I think one thing should be done as soon as possible is to create demand in the society for such sustainable model through every possible media and create such models that can be progressively expand from village to town to city to state to country and even beyond to the global lvl, specially we can create mass media product live movies and web series which are inspired by our vedic education system and in a very subtle manner how they can be implemented in this era!

Brilliant address Sir. I just started listening as a passing interest and then stuck on for the full video. The deep understanding of issues, strength of conviction and the mind applied towards solutions are exemplary. The best(as also the most vexatious) came up in the end viz how to find/ create a way of life which can accept graduates from such gurukuls. After all an education system has to service a demand. For the time being it can focus on creating acharyas for future expansions. Some thought also needs to be given to why such an emancipated way of life which had attendant theosophy, philosophy, science and wisdom of high standards, got subsumed by the present ways. That would also indicate methods of sustaining this sustainability.

Atlast i could see some great effort to establish gurukulam in Bangalore. We are teaching our kids English and Urdu most basic languages to learn Bible and quaran in Indian schools.But,we are not teaching them basics of Sanskrit which enable them to read our shastras and know the basics of our Dharma.It must be the first step towards teaching Sanskrit from class 1 to class 10 in different levels of difficulty.
