When I was young, I fell in love with black house music and traveled the world to dance to my favorite tunes. I was particularly captivated by Berlin’s techno music. Now, approaching my 50s and living in Okinawa, I found that techno music didn’t quite fit the warm atmosphere of this island, leading me to stop dancing for a long time. However, listening to your mix gave me goosebumps! The boldness of incorporating vocals from the start, the bass rhythms that draw focus to the sound, and the overall worldview-it’s the first time in decades that I’ve fallen for a DJ’s play! Having grown up with a foundation in black music, house, and techno since my youth, I’ve danced at parties worldwide. But now, at 47, there’s no place on this island where I can dance to the music I love, so I dance alone at home. I had resigned myself to never feeling that spark in my heart again, but you’ve reignited the fire in my life. Thank you!
