This is the song "Haere Mai" (Follow Me) from the 1962 Marlon Brando version of Mutiny On The Bounty. I used to sing this (the Tahitian song) in a Polynesian Group that I performed with for many years. This is not an Italian song.

Is there someone who could translate, or just paste lyrics? :) I'd be grateful. Thanks?

@zapaliczka The lyrics sung appear to be an Italian translation of the English language lyrics of Paul Francis Webster for "Love Song from Mutiny on the Bounty" (1962), aka: "Follow Me," and "Love Theme from Mutiny on the Bounty," though, in the 1962 film, the song was sung in Tahitian. The music was originally composed by Bronislau Kaper and Walter Jurmann for "Mutiny on the Bounty" (1935), an earlier film of the same name, and the piece was, then, titled "Love Song of Tahiti," though was uncredited, and had different lyrics by Gus Kahn. An approximate translation into Italian of the 1962, Paul Francis Webster lyrics follow (any corrections are welcome): Vieni con me alle isole Vieni amore mio, seguimi, seguimi Sotto il richiamo del puro incanto L'amore svelerà il suo mistero d'oro. Per tutta la notte ti terrò stretto Finché le stelle non scivolano nel mare Intreccerò una corona di arcobaleni tra i tuoi capelli Molte lune trascorrerò con te. L'amore sta aspettando; seguimi, seguimi L'amore sta aspettando; seguimi, seguimi L'amore sta aspettando; seguimi, seguimi... Seguimi, seguimi. Translated from the English language, Paul Francis Webster lyrics for "Love Song from Mutiny on the Bounty" (1962) Come with me to the islands Come my love, follow, follow me Under the lure of pure enchantment Love will unfold her golden mystery. All night long I will hold you Till the stars slip into the sea I'll weave a crown of rainbows in your hair Many a moon I'll spend with thee. Love is waiting; follow, follow me Love is waiting; follow, follow me Love is waiting; follow, follow me... Follow, follow me.

sure sounds like it, but the movie endings mention no credits to Tindersticks

Follow Me is a complete rip off of Follow Me sung by Tahitian women in the 1962 version of Mutiny on the Bounty starring Marlon Brando; note for note.

Wow, right you are: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5SbnnyIi6ihnNE Quite a surprise. However, the credits of the movie mention the composer, as so do I. So "rip off", mwah. Re-used, and well chosen. But a reference to the movie would have been neat, indeed. Gonna watch Mutiny on the Bounty now!

@@An-ef6bq Both are wonderful but yes, the similarities are striking - I watched the Truffle Hunters today and I have to say, it warmed my soul - such a delicious movie 🙂
