Oh, and the penalty can be €22000. That's one way for sure to discourage you to fly you're drone anywhere in the country.

That is why we swap to the Mini 2, because it is lighter than that so we don't have to register it or anything. We just sold our Mavic 2 platinum for the mini 2. Yes those prices are ridiculous

yeah mini 2 is perfect for situations like this. it will be considered as a toy 😂

@@LinaandDanTravelI'm also going to Austria and my Dream to capture the alps just vanished. Mini 2 also is not an exception because of the camera. A drone can only be considered as a toy if the manufacturer will Label it as a toy drone suitable for 13 below. Plus the fact that national parks are no fly zones, you really don't have a choice because most the beautiful landscapes are considered national parks. I'm so disappointed ☹️

300 euros for a drone permit is too much in my opinion too! 😳 I have never ever heard of such thing before! One of my most favorite parts of your videos are when you trying out the local restaurants and giving your opinion on the food!!! That salmon did look amazing! And the presentation was top! Awesome episode 😊

Crazy price to obtain a permit. Thank you so much for watching!

It's crazy. Planning a vacation to Austria this year, so I looked up the drone laws just to be shocked by the price of requiring a permit. It's already €330. Last year I got my drone license since the new drone laws were introduce for the EU. Since Austria is an EU country you would think that you would be OK flying there. Unfortunately, that's not the case. True, every country may have some additional regulations and I'm fine to learn a bit about drones and safety and that you need a license, because there are plenty of people who don't care about anything, like flying around airports. Taking a drone course to get a license was also not cheap, but then paying €330 for a permit, that's crazy. It takes away all the fun as a hobby. Even here in Netherlands, there's hardly any place you can still fly, because everything is near an airport or densely populated area. They say it's all about safety, which is probably partly true, but sometimes I get the feeling it's also a nice cash cow.

the dji mini 3 is a decent quality drone also 249 grams, yes indeed far to expensive, here in the Netherlands it's 23 euros for a year to have a registration-number for the dji mini 2 or 3, that's ok! i do still believe flying a drone in the mountains is always a pretty safe option, especially when it's 249 grams. I use my drone mostly in those scenery's when i can. because you don't intimidate or bring anyone in danger. i mean in remote mountain areas you absolutely don't harm. yes in urban places i agree there should be special regulations!

We love that the DJI Mini 3 is a decent quality drone and that it weighs only 249 grams. We can always use it in places with restrictions. In fact, it's already in our shopping cart! We're glad you like it too! 😊
