St. Stephen's was under renovation 10 years ago when I was there...an ongoing project, I guess. It was covered with cloth that had the cathedral's image imprinted on it. Ooh, the desserts at Cafe Demel are worth every euro. Thanks for sharing your winter adventures and have a safe journey home.

We were there a few hours before. Very nice! Wanted to make it easy for anyone to find us - Rathaus is super crowded now - and this was central. Def should explore. I liked the Karlsplatz market too!

There’s a lot of Japan in Vienna! Loads of Japanese restaurants! There is also many Viennese Cafes in Tokyo which popped up in the Meiji Era I believe - so ... 🤔 🇦🇹

I thought that quite odd - and a little sad. I felt like it does more harm to their brand by putting a corporate banner on a place of worship but that’s just me (and probably most people).
