C2 Proficiency (CPE) Listening Test 11 with answers helps you practice listening skills for the C2 Proficiency Listening Test new format.
The C2 Proficiency Listening paper has four parts. For each part you have to listen to a recorded text or texts and answer some questions. You hear each recording twice.
Part 1: Three short, unrelated recordings lasting approximately 1 minute each. You have to listen to the recordings and answer two multiple-choice questions for each recording. Each question has three options (A, B or C). One mark for each correct answer.
Part 2: A monologue or prompted monologue lasting 3-4 minutes. The questions are a series of incomplete sentences. You have to listen to the recording and identify the information you need (one to three words) to fill each gap. One mark for each correct answer.
Part 3: A recording with interacting speakers lasting 3-4 minutes. You have to listen to the recording and answer a series of multiple-choice questions, each with four options (A, B, C or D). One mark for each correct answer.
Part 4: Five short, themed monologues, of approximately 35 seconds each. There are two multiple-matching tasks. Each multiple-matching task requires the selection of the five correct options from a list of eight. One mark for each correct answer.
There are 30 questions in the CPE Listening Test.

24/30 Btw I think that Answer for 19 is not C as she says when she went to Egypt she never deliberately searched for material that may be useful for her paintings.I think the correct answer should be A

What she says is: " although I later re-created those colours in my painting, never deliberately searched for material that may be useful to me in the studio" >> this doesn't have anything to do with the Answer for the question 19. C is the correct answer. You can check the transcription for more details.

@@VietFCE Hi there! I don´t see C being the answer to the question but rather B. It is not about making friends (like C implies) but rather about understanding the culture in which case B is the correct. Am I missing anything?

Same with question 16... I think the answer is B. The script says it very clearly " looking has been vitally important to me". It says nothing about taking on some duties while being on holidays. Thoughts?

Notice the speaker said taking holiday was a part of her work as a painter >>> while on holiday, she also does work. And later she said that while as with any artist, working in a studio was the heart, but for her going out and looking had been really important >> Meaning for her work as a painter ( do a painting) she needs both working in a studio and going out (looking). >> C is the correct answer. The speaker doesn't mention anything about going out and looking inspires her artistically. >> B is not the correct answer.

@@VietFCE Nonsense, since when does "going out and looking" (presumably at the sky) equal the physical activity of making a painting. To make a painting, you need to take a brush, some paints, a piece of canvas and start painting, and not just ramble around and gape at whatever comes in sight.

When it comes to listening, we can actually think of listening in general and listening in exams. If all you want now is to focus on Ielts or Toefl listening, I suggest you find these tests for better practicing experience. But if your goal is to improve listening in general, any kind of English listening contexts can be helpful. One thing for sure, the more you listen, the better you hear.
