As a former US Naval officer, I’ve documented Vietnamese and Chinese Coast Guards coordinating patrols and drills in the South China Sea. Countries are like sibling rivalry. You fight but make up and move on. It’s no different than the relationship with the French and Americans. Vietnamese people move on, especially when love is the foundation of bringing people together.
