Spent a month traveling through Viet Nam from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Min city to Chau Doc. I ate street food pretty much the whole time I was there and I must say that the things that are being criticized mean absolutely nothing to pretty much anyone that has been there and traveled outside the tourist areas. The food is delicious! I used to go looking for this young guy that made sandwiches from a cart with a gyros type spit on it, but is was pork on the spit. It was so fantastic and cheap. The people are very nice and hard working. Many Europeans vacation there because it is cheap and pretty safe. I am an American and I want to go back for the Pho.

I used to live in a village in south vietnam when I was little and I miss the sandwiches and chicken sausages the most, me and the villagers would eat Beatles, crickets, flying termites, my dad and his buddies brought home snakes, Komodo dragon and we are them. I now work at a restaurant and people waste food like crazy, i was cleaning the plates and I saw a whole 12 oz steak, I almost cried, it's crazy how people take a lot of things for granted

For my 6 days vacation in Saigon.. nothing was wasted. Each day is amazing.. i would say that I prefer eating their street foods than in fancy restaurants. I'll be coming back soon vietnam!!

Guys, It's "Banh Mi" or you can call it "Vietnamese Bread". It's totally different from sandwiches. From the crunchy bread to the filling inside. It's totally different. And you guys're right. Banh Mi is a very popular street food in our country. Fast, delicious and cheap. If you have more spare time, you can try many others street food. There're a lot of them. All is delicious.

Vietnamese street food is not all about banh mi! This video is so wrong in so many ways. I believe the uploaded just like the women serving them. Banh mi is a very very small part of vietnamese cuisine. It's mostly considered snack and not a real dish. Most Vietnamese would name a billion other dishes before they name banh mi

moonlight Honey, you dont understand. Its not quite of a small cuisine, just letting you know. Banh Minh stands are like mcdonalds but smaller, every corner you turn theres banh minh. Banh minh is one of the main food street since most of our food is main dishes

there are still lots of street food in Việt Nam =)) such as: cơm cháy (it's crispy rice), khoai mỡ chiên (the mix yam with flour n deep fry it), sầu riêng chiên (i havent tried this one yet, but i heard its pretty good, they mix durian with flour or something n deep fry it), "fry ice cream" =))) (they wrap the ice cream by a piece of sandwich, they freeze it, n then they deep fry it),... n a lot more =)) n the yellow bottle with black liquid is soy sauce :3
