Tiếng Hán Việt mà mình mượn, hầu hết bắt nguồn theo cách phát âm của tiếng Quảng, có lẽ là do sự gần gũi về địa lý, cộng với lượng người "Tàu" (thuyền nhân) di cư sang sinh sống tại Việt Nam trong nhiều thế kỷ cũng chiếm đa phần là người miền Nam Trung Quốc. Người Việt bản xứ "vay mượn" tiếng Hán chắc cũng là vay mượn từ những người thuyền nhân này là chính, trước hết là để giao tiếp được với họ, sau đó là làm phong phú thêm vốn tiếng Việt.

Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese and Thai all borrowed a ton of Chinese vocabulary from the Tang Dynasty during the Middle Chinese period therefore it shares many similarities with Modern Southern Chinese varieties which preserves many aspects of the pronunciation and vocab of Middle Chinese. Most modern Chinese varieties aside from Min descend from Middle Chinese. Cantonese preserves many Middle Chinese pronunciations as does Viet in the same way.

Therefore many chinese who is most of are used to be bureaucrat are exiled to northern Vietnam due to quite remoted. Asking for the pronunciation of Mandarin words (most of your words here) at the periphery of the Mandarin linguistic area (you could have invited a Japanese and a Korean person too), it's like touring in Europe and asking for the pronunciation of 'sandwich', 'ketchup', 'internet', 'discount' ... it's funny and anecdotic. But you witness the huge differences, the core root language as you go down to the daily mother language; away from lofty concepts and closer to moods, action verbs, common objects and their usage... the kind of French vocabulary people discover only with a girlfriend in Paris when they have finished their French Master from Michigan university... they thought they knew French but it takes another five years of learning.

For centuries, there are waves of population migration from central China to the south. My family genealogy actually tells this kind of migration story for my clan (Yang, Yeung, Yeo, Young) of 133 generations. Cantonese is closer to the old spoken Chinese. It has 9 tones and special sound like "Ng". Vietnamese has influence from old spoken Chinese, especially in the official documents, poetry and literature. It also has sounds like "Ngo". Mandarin is actually from the northern part of China and has four tone only. The sounds of "Ng" or "Ngo" are like "Wu" in Mandarin.

Mandarin is not even from China at all. The "er" sound and complete loss of -p -t -k ending sounds are from Mongolian Influence, first recording of "er" sound in Chinese text is from Ming Dynasty right after booting the Mongolians out(Yuan Dynasty).

Obviously, if a country is annexed and assimilated by another country, the native language will become a small part of the conquering country's language. The matter i wanna talk about is ​ even it borrows Chinese characters, but the pronunciation of Cantonese is far different from the north Yangtze Han ethnic groups and it is still preserved today because of its ancient historical value.

This is partially true. Both modern Cantonese and Vietnamese are close to the spoken Chinese back in Qin dynasty, about 100 B.C. There was a kingdom called Nan Yue founded by one of the powerful Qin generals called "Zhao Tuo" in today's Canton. Today's Vietnam was founded by the Bai-yue tribes in today's northern Vietnam people through southward invasions over several dynasties until those people finally reached the delta region and displaced the existing Khmer people to form today's modern Vietnam. So Vietnam consists of a lot of different ethic groups but the dominating culture is obviously from the northern part with great similarity to that of southern China. That's why Vietnam is the only country in ASEAN to have East Asian Confucian culture. People in Laos and Cambodia are more influenced by Khmer culture.
