Same with the Lakota. People tend to forget (or, have never learned) that they controlled the Black Hills by butchering the Crow, Arapaho, Kiowa, and others in the area. The Crow got it worse (in my opinion); the Lakota once massacred them by creeping into a village in the dead of night, followed by beheading every male infant, child, and adult as they slept.
