I remember way way back Mal almost straight up built the air bike as soon as they got the steering stick but gave up because she couldn't figure out how to use Ultrahand.

Yep. Mal knows her maps and puzzles and building things but her weakness of not remembering how buttons work is her downfall lol.

I love how suggestion #2 is basically just "please _read_ ", LOL. Yeah, reading is helpful. One thing I hoped they had experimented more with are the Royal Guards weapons (me shedding a single tear hearing that Stephen completely shuns spears and that's why he abandoned the RG spear he found). When the RG weapons get close to breaking, they double their damage output. Obviously, that only gives you three hits before the weapon breaks. _But_ they're fantastic weapons to use while you're mounting a Lynel, because while you're whacking away at the Lynel from on its back, it doesn't affect the weapon's durability at all. The best weapon I ever got was a 206 DMG Royal Guard's Claymore with a Silver Lynel horn fused to it. Takes down a Silver Lynel within a minute.

I feel your pain. I rely on those weapons 150% of the time.

I really wish they would have figured out how to use things like dazzle fruits and eyeballs to attach them to arrows

They got a +10 20 attack one handed unfused sword. Stephen: "It's not very good." I'm about to throw my phone out the window WHAT DO YOU MEAN

I love how Stephen calls so many weapons crap but holds on to all of the shitty weapons because they're "perfect".

Pristines make good fusions no matter what.

Stephen calling a 20 attack unfused one handed sword bad is giving me a hissy fit. It's his favorite weapon type with the biggest numbers he's seen without fusing. I give up trying to understand how he thinks lol.
@LinkMountaineerАй бұрын
@@ShallBePurified Probably because it’s rusted. Maybe he just think to fuse it to something in the moment?

I never did get to making the hover bike. It's a pretty cool idea!

For anyone interested, I have written up a sort of "travel brochure" of all the interesting activities the grandparents missed out on in their playthrough, and I will be posting it in a comment reply on the final episode. Spoilers will ensue then, so when that happens, peruse at your own risk. [Normal (albeit very wordy) comment below] 3:58 They only ultimately ended up using the Giant Charges, so to clarify the difference--regular charges will give you a bit of charge back, while large ones will top you off and temporarily make it so that your battery meter does not go down. 4:20 RIP Koltin--the last time they encounter him is at an inconvenient time, past his night shift hours. (The rest of their Bubbulgems they got will never get turned in) (Also, bonus game; count how many unredeemed Korok Seeds they had at the end of BotW and TotK) 5:48 It's not only that they didn't read anything online, they also almost never just experimented on their own. Like, jus' a little workshopping session to understand the game world better. Throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks. They almost never did that. As a result like 90% of the Zonai Devices in their inventory have never been used, among other things. 8:30 The Champion's Leathers! The outfit that Link wore during the intro of the game. It's the Champion's Tunic from BotW hybridized with the Hylian Tunic, with prominent examples of the crossover being the chest guard and the layer of chainmail underneath. 12:13 Fun fact: You can grab that bell with Ultrahand and shake it for a Korok. 13:27 This Korok hiding spot is re-used from BotW! One of a handful where it's just blatantly the same. (Although, I guess it's technically at a higher elevation now, since the castle rose) 14:29 A fun reminiscent; Stpehen made this exact same joke here in BotW. (I _wish_ that door could be opened though) 14:43 The Dusk Bow! It's the Bow of Light from Twilight Princess. It was previously an Amiibo-exclusive drop in BotW. (It's also separate from the Bow of Light you get from Zelda at the end of BotW) 18:22 The Hyrule Castle Lockup! It had a Stalnox in BotW, the skeleton equivalent of the Hinox. (They declined exploring it, but there _is_ a special friend where the Stalnox was before) You got the Hylian Shield here before--it has a new unique reward now. 19:34 There was previously an elemental greatsword here in BotW--but since those have gone extinct in TotK, I guess someone just placed an ordinary sword where it stood. (Who did that, other than the game devs?) 22:45 For YT audience reference; during the sequence of Mal trying to get that chest in the water, a Gloom Hand spawned up here, noticed Link, but since it couldn't get to him, after a while it despawned. Chat noticed--the grandparents did not. 23:20 This torch puzzle previously gave a shrine in BotW! Fun reminiscent, it was also the last shrine the grandparents found in their playthrough. *[TECH NOTES]* 6:09 They used the Hover Bike to get to the top quick, but for anyone else's reference, you can Ascend from that corridor with all the Horriblins to get to the top floor of the castle really quickly. I marked the optimal spot with a Brightbloom. (Incidentally, throwing Brightblooms while on the surface is a strategy they also never used basically) 7:57 They also could've just thrown the Fire Fruit by hand since they were that close to their target. Throwing items by hand, instead of arrow-fusing all of them, is a technique that could've saved them _a lot_ of arrows. (Arrows mainly help for long-distance shots) Mal does this at 23:16, so points to her for realizing! 10:37 If you fuse a material to a boomerang, it will have that added attack damage the first time it hits, and the second, if it hits an enemy on the rebound 20:40 They could've tossed an Ice Fruit or Ice Chu Jelly at the water here to make a temporary platform--Cryonis at home, is what they call it.
