It's you and your videos who made me buy a wonderful working Canon P from Japan (Exc*****). I'm delighted about this camera. It returns me to Film photography. Thank you for this wonderful Inspiration. Regards from Hamburg

You're my new favorite KZbinr, even if I don't have a film camera yet. Thanks.

Hey Jim, a simpler method would have been to simply stick semi-transparent tape over the surface where the film is normally placed. in a semi-dark room then frame a sheet of paper or similar object. Then either with the eye or with a camera look through the clip-on viewfinder and tape the frame accordingly. I have used this technique before to adjust the rangefinder of an olympus camera.

Interesting. I am currently thinking about getting a voightlander 25mm with viewfinder or a Nikkor 28mm and use it with a turret viewfinder with basic parallax correction for a bit more money. I like the turret viewfinder also. The 28mm comes with a case also. Good luck with the rolleicord. I have 2 yashica TLRs and they are great.

btw this inspires me to go out and take my time, using nature as part of my compositions, where I live there’s no many ppl on the street, especially now.

I actually just started doing street stuff with a TLR myself! it's a blast, you'll get a lot of people saying "wow, cool camera" which helps open a dialogue with people, and it's much easier to "sneak" shots (for lack of a better word) because by the time people figure out what they're looking at, you've already taken the shot. I look forward to your results :)

I have a Voigtlander 25mm Snap Shot Skopaer on the way. I am curious to see how the finder compares now. I wonder if you got a 21mm finder marked 25mm by mistake. At one point they did a dual 21/25 combined finder

Just bought a Rolleicord a few months ago. It's so satisfying to shoot with It but I haven't developed yet. Good luck with your challenge. I might challenge myself with that one too but first I need to see the first pictures 😳

That viewfinder really is way off (wider) compared to what the lens sees. I wonder if you could use one of their 28mm or a 35mm viewfinders (maybe they show more than what they are marked as too)? It may actually be closer to what the 25 is seeing. Have you compared the lens to the builtin 35mm frame-line of the camera?
@quietamericanreed4 жыл бұрын
Good idea. I've heard there are also some good Panasonic ersatz viewfinders on the market

@@BeingWolfy No 😂 I went back to shooting my Canon P from the hip bc it suits my style of shooting on the street better than composing through a viewfinder.

Why would you be shooting 4x4 through your Rolleicord? Surely it's easier to shoot 6x6 on 120 film that is more readily available? You'd have the advantage of the lens working as intended and getting more depth of field at any given aperture as opposed to using 4x4 which would crop in. The Rolleicord is great, I bought a Rolleicord Va as my first medium format camera. Using a cable release can help to prevent any camera shake instead of using the lever that has to be pulled sideways to trigger the shutter. You can get a clip on Rollei attachment that fits over the sports viewfinder that you are planning to use. It then coverts it into a rangefinder. I daresay one of those and a pistol grip would be a dream to use.
@quietamericanreed4 жыл бұрын
Yes it will be 6x6, I just misspoke:')
@matchat864 жыл бұрын
@@quietamericanreed tbf you could have been. I know that Rollei made a `16 on' attachment that allowed the use of 127 film. In the later Vb that kit can be part used to shoot an almost panoramic aspect ratio on 120 film.
