Just because they adopt it for there prophet or religious ceremonies does not mean it cannot be used for Christ. Plus historically Muhammad as a prophet did not exist when Pre Mohammedan Muslim Arabs went into the lands of Byzantium’s. They actually had a term Muhammad for a great man and when you look at the coins minted in the early 600’s they had word Muhammad printed on one side and on the other they had the cross of Christ. The mark of the beast wont come until after the rapture of the church. The rapture of the church is the "event" that they need in order to bring about the one world religion. It is the "world wide disaster" needed to usher in the antichrist. As long as the church is still on earth the antichrist can't be revealed. Those that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ hold the light in them that keeps at bay the present darkness that is persisting. But until the church is gone then the antichrist can't be revealed. 2 Thess 2:7 "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way." 2 Thess 2:8-9 " And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders" So if your a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ you wont have to worry about the mark. You'll be raptured when the "rapture" happens.

That is the Holy Spirit that resides in every believer on earth. That is what with holds the antichrist from being revealed, every saved person. The light that resides in us withholds the antichrist, "until he be taken out of the way" which is the rapture of the church. Then that "wicked one can be revealed" and he will be.
