You know this is nothing to do with socialism or even communism it’s totalitarianism, which in all honesty is what you Americans are waking into under Christian/republicanism. Do your own research, just because of how North Norea is don’t get into thinking that America is and better because it’s not!!
@mamsy1169 Жыл бұрын
@@gwenfrew4705 The only difference between socialism and communism is that communism controls social aspects of life too. Like forcing someone to use their "preferred pronoun" or face legal consequences. Ever hear of the Chinese "social credit score" system? Totalitarianism is just essentially one party rule that has complete control over everything, like dictators. You can have a totalitarian capitalist country. Yes, NK is totalitarian, but totalitarianism is not an economic form, it is a form of government. Socialism is basically "Communism light". They both encompass collective ownership of property - and the only way to collectively own property is to have the state own and disburse it. Which is why communist countries are typically totalitarian. Whomever is in control of the state and the ownership of property and disbursement of the same often wants to retain that power. Socialism is not a capitalist economy with a few social programs, like USA having public roads, fire dept, police etc. that people like to use as "examples of socialism working" or "socialism" itself. It's not socialism. Totalitarianism, authoritarianism, and fascism are all forms of government characterized by a strong central rule that attempts to control and direct all aspects of individual life through coercion and repression. Again, which is why communist/socialist countries are often one of the three. Because the state or central gov't agency already has the power over property & personal property does not exist. Facism differs from totalitarianism in the fact that in facism, national identity is emphasized as the "master race." Totalitarianism is a political system, while fascism is more of a political ideology. Semantics aside, it doesn't really matter what she calls it. The simple fact that the same things that NK used to oppress her & still uses to oppress its people, are things that she's noticing happening in USA. Period.

JYAG, as another average guy with three children who have been through the public school system, believe me, you are not overstating your claim. My youngest, a straight A student who was offered tens and tens of thousands in well-deserved scholarships, was a "thinker" two or three years ago. She now is a BLM lovin', climate believing, 17 yr old who frequently throws around the labels of "transphobe" and "bigot". I trust that the Good Lord will guide her where I have failed and that, once she survives the next four years of college and enters the "real world" she will begin to understand that Dad isn't such a bad guy after all ... we'll see .....

It won't though because it goes against the narrative and against the plan. Listening to her really makes obvious the plan they are carrying out here in the US. All the push for "democratic socialism", equity, all the indoctrination, class and race separation, and erosion of our rights is all steps needed to install a communist dictatorship. That is the plan and when people like this expose the flaws of that plan the last thing they want to do is give her a platform.

I watched this whole video. Absolutely compelling, tragic, and hopeful. She needs to be on every TV sharing her story, enlightening the population.

The strength this woman possesses to relive such a traumatic experience in these interviews is a testament to her courage.

Yeonmi is just as tough as any operator that has been interviewed on this channel. The stuff she went through would break almost anyone. My heart broke for her so many times during this interview. As a father of two daughters, it is one of my biggest fears that they would have to experience something like this. I am glad she is able to speak out about this.

She’s way tougher. Special ops guys, as awesome as they are, are backed by a team, weapons, air support, government etc. She was all alone.

@@tb2324 let’s not compare. She’s special they’re special. Only difference is she had no choice, the others did. Comparing slaves and servants.

@@Notooshabyy the original poster made the comparison, this guy simply responded to it and him with his broken down version of the comparison and therefore your comment makes no sense, clearly the comparison is there and it makes sense i would put all the money I ever earned on her being mentally tougher than any special forces operator on the planet if you don’t believe me just think about the rape aspect alone

@@reedusurrights2547 fr sof operators are tough as hell but Yeonmi as well as other defectors are just a different breed, I don't think people know how mentally hard and challenging living in nk was, especially because of all the pressure and pain and suffering, not to mention constantly being in fear of dying and getting executed.
