Auspicious time to post, especially with Vinayaga Chaturthi around the corner. Great incorporation of mallari format in this classic! Bhairavi's Mahaganesa pose was so majestic. Sanjena's movements have become so much more poised. All the best to her! Can't imagine how scenic this must have been in real life.

Mallari never fails to impress the listeners. NAdaswaram is the most appropriate instrument for playing Mallaari. Sri Vigneshwar blended with the above two can only be a superlative presentation. Beautifully sung, beautifully choreographed and beautifully performed. Thanks to all of you!

This gave me and my family such joy starting on Vinayaka Chaturthi and since, it's brought tears to my eyes seeing Vinayakar appear with his many arms and his beautiful ears, thereby dancing as only He can. The difference of Sridevi Nrithyalaya is that the bhakti is always entirely present as it is performed by bhaktas, guided by their guru who never reduces bharatanatyam to a mere art form, but maintains its pristine purpose as in the shaastras. The keertanam is rendered with bhakti and bhaavam also, and the instrumentation too, including the magnificent sacred nadaswaram. When I heard the mallari parts, I kept thinking it was so natural and that this is how it should be. It perfectly fits Vinayakar appearing on his palanquin, carried by his bhaktas, where He dances to delight throughout. Bharatanatyam being performed by the bhaktas and choreographed by the bhakta guru is what invariably always elevates SDN's performances well past that of all others. In unison with this, the divine meanings of the sahityam are always conveyed so well by Sridevi Nrithyalaya, as is the intention behind our dance and drama per our Hindu shaastras, that the essence reaches me and I am always overcome by it. Even my understanding of each of our languages used have ever improved thanks to Guru's choreography instilling the meanings of each keertanam and stotra through the dances, brought out carefully by our dancers (thank you all!). All of this is sacred perfection, embodied in the guru preserving the age old way along with the bhakta dancers and musicians, and the entire institution. Thank you for continuing and maintaining bharatanatyam in its true, pristine, divine form: here again you have all together captured Vinayakar and convey his bountiful blessings fully. May Ganesha the Mahaprabhu continue to bless you in return for your inestimable seva. Namaskaaram.

Even expressions (smiles) synchronise.. even their thoughts perhaps? ☺ .. the guru's feelings etched on them like a scanner ! This video is a rare weave on many counts: the wonderful use of tavil, and the nadaswaram ( the "elephant- instrument" as I privately call it, for its auspiciousness, kingly, trunk-like look, the closeness to the trumpeting sound, and relative size, etc., 😍,... so apt in an invocation to the elephant God🕉), for a confluence of mallari with the keerthanam ...and the dance... to name a few.. . The vocal needs no praise: the breath control, the most important element in a vocalist... is superb of course.. gives the feel of two singers in fact..the mellifluous sweetness of his higher octave swarams... in my humble view...🙏

Wow i were very eagerly waiting for the vinayagar chathurthi realse, i saw this festival dances in uttarpardhesh DD channel it was very nice, i feel very proud to have SDN in this world , giving this is majestic perfomence , giving perfomence throughout the country not only in country as well as abroad is not at all a easy job it resists will power and practise, awesome perfomence , wow ,wow wow what a choreography, what perfection in steps , energy and coordination, every thing was marvellous , harinie and kameshwari awesome in their footwork and expressions, sanjana is very very good at talam , rajadharshi and bhairavi is awesome and dancing gracefully , and sheella mam choreography ........ no words mam love you so much take care of your healty and give us the bliss of dance💖💖💖💖

Spectacular performance 😍. As always it was a feast to eyes with Vinayaga Chaturthi near. All dancers have a mutual understanding and thus the coordination was good.
