3rd person aiming is better for close range/medium range or indoors but first person is better for semi autos at long range the visual recoil in 1st person on auto ARs make it kinda not viable unless ur tap firing

Useful info, thx dude. Literally booted up for 1st time yesterday just to see ( 5 hours later 🤣 ). Have held off for a while but nice to have some relief from the craziness that is fortnite and warface. Much more strategy based and interesting. The freedom to choose how to play instead of having specific set goals or needing to kill everyone is awesome. I suggest if new to game you do a few hit and runs for loot to start. Just to get a feel for it. I tried to get a kill and promptly got a shotgun to the face 😂. Just wanted to add, as a beginner. Unless you have built up a good stash of wèapons if you aquire some decent ones early in encounter then probably bug out. You can get insurance when more experienced so you don't lose higher tier if killed. I have just been going in with basic weapons to start and minimal ammo. You will find you build up a decent cache pretty quick until bring able to craft.

Only tip I disagree with is turning vibration off. Reason why you want it on is if you encounter a locked safe that needs a combination when going through the combination part each number will vibrate when on the right one. So moving left to right through the numbers choose each number that vibrates and you’ll be able to open it.

So I just started recently been watching a couple videos and immediately one red flag that goes up is turning vibration completely off this is a really bad idea seeing that you won't be able to unlock the padlocks, in order to unlock them you need to scroll through the numbers until your controller vibrates. that's how you tell you're on the correct number by turning this off you're unable to find the combination to padlocks I would suggest just turning it down a little because I do agree it can throw you off from time to time especially in stressful situations I learned that in pubg so therefore turning it down all the way gives you a big disadvantage when looting. But great video man I learned a little bit that could really help my game 🙏🙏🙏subbed

Turning on Lone Wolf is the fastest way to level up. Once you start getting duos and trios, the map gets wiped pretty quick so you want to hide away from the control points for a few minutes

as an avid player of DayZ, (bohemia makes both games) the aiming, recoil , etc etc is honestly second nature for me at this point. its all just habit. if you wanna get better at the game just build that habit. coming from a very similar style game, building that habit to perfection can be the difference in CQ situations ;)

Just stsrted playing Vigor, and I’m not trying to toot my own horn, but I’ve been doing very well (at least against the players I’m put up against so far), and your comment gives me hope that I won’t completely suck at Dayz once I finally start playing it. I love the third person on Vigor. I realized fast that one of the keys to the game is mastering the switching over each shoulder. Funny enough I’ve never been able to play any shooter while looking over the left shoulder. But on Vigor it’s so smooth that it’s just a part of every match. I’ve had shooters where I’ve never once changed that. So learning how to switch views over each shoulder while in the middle of gunfights/taking cover has made all the difference. Can’t wait to hop on Dayz (I know I’m a little late to the party lol)

Funny enough I can’t hit shots while ADS. But admittedly I do play really aggressive. So I’m constantly running and gunning, and running right up on people. Instead of staying back and getting some ranged kills. So of course the closer you are to the enemy the better the shots will be. Also crouching while shooting third person makes all the difference. A lot of the times I’ll start a gunfight standing up and will crouch while shooting, this makes my aim better if let’s say I’m caught sprinting and someone suddenly shoots at me, it also throws off their shots a tiny bit. I’m a bit of a noob to the game, but that’s my advice you didn’t ask for for shooting in third person. Get really close to people, and crouch/prone as much as you can. Also, switching views over each shoulder is huge in this game from what I can tell. I’m constantly switching from looking over my left and right shoulder.
