After all Rajendra Kumar didn’t get the khandani bahu he was hoping for. His son end up marrying Nargis’s daughter, and Nargis came from Tawaif lineage. Nargis’s mother Jaddan Bai was a Tawaif from Calcutta who had three children from three different men. Vijayata Pandit though middle class, came from a respectable background.

@@rb5177 you are mistaken. Khandan is not only made of lineage. Sunil Dutt and Nargis ji were rich and famous. Rajendra Kumar was their family friend. Kumar Gourav was first engaged to Raj Kapoor's daughter Ritu. That engagement was broken abruptly. Whatever Rajendra Kumar did was right as a concerned parent.
