Why waste time and resource on a 16.4 league when we already have bigger leagues? Lets be honest, outside India you can't possibly have a league as big and as profitable as the IPL, you just dont have the viewership or interest to support it. Shut the shop on the hundred, it's embarrassing. ECB bitched and moaned about the IPL for over a decade saying it diminishes international fixtures and test cricket but here they are planning an even more shit league and daydreaming that it becomes the greatest 🤡🤡

@@Riyal_ViratKohli the only way forward with all these leagues is to have proper player transfers and inter league matches like champions Cup, and it should happen every year with the best franchise teams from all corner playing with their full squad. This would mean no overlapping of players across leagues. You only play for one team. If all the boards could agree this would be the logical evolution.

I noticed that too, its but later he said if the ECB sells its 49% share in every team it will make £400m. So if you do the maths it makes out to be £50m for 49% of a franchise, therefore each franchise is valued at £100m on average.

Its all abt packaging the product, you need to cultivate two franchise bigs and stories around their rivalry like celtics vs lakers, csk vs mi......you need to up the merchandise game which is one way to fuel tribalism....marketing dollars to push tribalism, drama....ecb needs to may be draw inspiration from its american cousin than ipl as they have had hate for it from the beginning....american games have vegas odds as one of their talking points pre games....may be bring in that into the game...bigger pay checks than ipl games for lesser work load may be will sway them from MLC where they play under the sun and great weather in dallas.....may be get folks like cuban, naval ravikant on board since they know the live and breathe the value game in their business decisions, but wait how are you gonna pay em if you are at a tenth of the IPL....and yeah, to build tribalism, like i said go the american route where you play dirty and rig games....thats when fan base feel a sense of revenge when justice serves next time......NBA has the unwritten rule of allowing teams to tank so they get ahead in the draft to bag a generational talent who can increase their franchise worth by half a billion....follow their model and build the concept of trade assetts and luxury taxes etc.....but all this requires you to give up your 180yr old history of how the game is played....or you can just cop out and take indian premier league money and keep control of the sanctity of the game intact in your country.......IPL owners are good humans at their core and respect the game and people.....And hey with the money you also get to import tribalism automatically which you can build upon......but if your ego is of the size of the earth good luck not losing players to MLC.....and you ve only got may be 3 years before this thing stagnates....Recruit scouts to go pick players in england rather than relying on the counties, market those picked players as stars....go international for talent scouting and get non contracted players and make em big by touting....

Once many said about for odi same as it will kill test cricket see dude cricket is evolving as game is advancing and cricket is growing in internationally only because of t20 format

@@gameruleworld.1889 difference is that ODI is played over 7-8 hours. 50 overs is enough time to get yourself and play sensibly in any situation. The other white ball formats are just "see ball hit ball" entertainment. ODI's helped Test batting and gave batsmen another dimension to their batting and run scoring without compromising their technique and playing reckless.

@@karthiknarayanan3705only on flat lifeless pitches where you can hit through the line without worrying about lack of consistent bounce, turn, seam movement etc. On challenging surfaces, it’s a lot harder and you need maturity and grit to survive and thrive.
